----

At a young age

We party to celebrate

To live in the moment

But in reality,

When are we that such age

My mom says I got an old

Soul, that I wasn't made for this decade

I was made for another

So with all honesty when was I young?

Birthdays are not suppose

To be a day of celebration of life

But rather a celebration of having one

It shouldn't matter if you are one

Or if you are a hundred and one

We are given this life from another

Be pleased in that verse caring about another

Person's opinion

You may be a child,

In age

but you are you

And that there doesn't have an age

I may be twenty in years spent here

But an old soul like me,

Is over twice that and honestly?

I am just proud to be,

M E

Birthdays are birthdays

And you are you

Dont let anyone change that

And forever remain true
