The only princess of Japan's Northern estate, why would her parents send her to a university so far from her kingdom?
Sighing she quickly peeked from the curtains of her well decorated carriage which dragged her to the place she least desired to go. The path was not much different than the path of her own palace , but somehow it all felt so different, after all she was in a different country and she knew it. Looking back down to the acceptance letter, in bold was printed Myoui Mina. For some reason she just wanted to run back home. She wasn't even sure where exactly she was, just knowing that it was a small Island between south Korea and Japan. She would have considered it fine even if she was sent to Korea, because she had been there before. But she kept on reminding herself that Sana and Momo both will be there, the real reason why she was also sent there. She wanted to believe that even if they were older than her, even if she never had any real conversation with them, they would make good company.
The carriage came to a halt, she braced herself as she stepped down carefully. As she looked up she saw two cheerful faces smilling at her. "Hi...are you Mina ?" Mina just nodded " I am Momo... From the southern estate... If you remember.." she said the last in almost a whisper, although Mina was able to hear.
She quickly bowed and lifted up with elegance as she replied"It's a pleasure to meet you, princess Momo" she turned to the other standing just beside her.
"It's a pleasure meeting you too... princess Sana I suppose."
Both of them were a little taken aback by such formal behaviour, the hostility in Mina's personality made them believe that they would need to do a lot of work on her.
____Jihyo watered the flower she had been growing from a long time as she hummed softly. She overlooked the scenery from her window feeling the morning breeze. Nothing made her feel so relaxed and intoxicated. Suddenly there was a knock on her door, Jihyo nodded at her maid as the maid quickly went to open the door.
"Watering the plants again?" A smile spread on her lips as she turned around to face her bunny faced friend. Her only friend to be precise.
"So what is it this time Nayeon?" She asked.
Nayeon gave her an amused look. " How do you know? "
"By the way you are dressed up... The headmistress called you, right?"
Nayeon sighed before sitting on a chair of the tea table."we shouldn't have been this sincere, they push almost all of the responsibilities on us."
Jihyo just smiled and sat down next to her."So?" Jihyo said before gesturing the maid to pour some tea for both of them. Nayeon took one long sip before beginning
"There are two newbies this year who are from abroad, and guess what? We will have to show them around" she finished as she took another sip.
"Okay... Is that it?" Jihyo said in a calm voice.
" What do you mean by is that it? We don't know anything about their culture or the trends, at the very least I don't want to be awkward with my juniors." She breathed as she finished.
" Which country are they from?" Jihyo asked now looking concerned as well.
"One is from Japan and the other is from Taiwan"
Jihyo just smiled again," Don't worry, I got this one... I have been to Japan thrice already, and about Taiwan...well I haven't been there but I definitely read about its culture." She sipped her tea carefully.
Nayeon smiled looking fondly at her, before she spoke in a calm voice." You would make one of the best queens."
Jihyo looked at her before slightly chuckling."I get to hear that a lot, but..."
Her sentence remained incomplete as she went into a daze looking out to the blue sky. Nayeon pressed her lips together before completing her sentence for her."but... You wish you could be more than just a queen for a king" Jihyo silently nodded. This was not just a small wish but a strong desire, to do something extraordinary, something on which her kingdom would be proud of, she didn't want to be just a decoration for the palace, she didn't want to be a property of her king, she wanted to be free, to be independent.
Nayeon quickly got up breaking the sad atmosphere at once, " hurry up we need to rush, we have a lot to do.." Jihyo smiled and got up letting herself be dragged by her friend as she shut the door behind her. Both hurrying to meet the Taiwanese Princess first.

Dahyun was especially happy as she skipped her steps, slightly jumping just like a child as a wide smile spread across her lips. It's been almost a week since she was here and today was gonna be the first day of her classes. At first she was nervous, but her sister told her that the first day was always mostly free. Almost two hours till breakfast and three till her first class. She came to a halt near her favourite place, the real reason she was so happy. She came to know about the greenhouse just a day after she arrived, but it was shut since then. Today it was finally opened for the students too. Making medicines and studying about plants has always been her favourite hobby, even back home at her palace she would always go to the greenhouse. There was no one around so she entered the glass room, inhaling the smell of plants. As she opened her eyes she saw another student staring at her weirdly.
Chaeyoung clutched the book in her hand, as she started making her way to door, she glanced at Dahyun for a moment and the moment they made an eye contact Dahyun smiled, chaeyoung nodded before hurrying up getting out of the green house. She realised she lost her first chance to make a new friend, Dahyun did appeared friendly. For the first time in the three days that she had been here, someone actually showed some expression to her. She paused and look back, debating whether to say atleast a small greeting, but decided that she would just head to the library instead.
