Mattia squeezes Kairis sweaty hand lightly to assure him. They walk through the doors instantly being greeted with hundreds of students in the hallways, going through their lockers, eating, being loud (Idk y this reminded me of high school musical). They head over to the boys who are at Alvaros locker as usual. Alejandros forehead is resting on Alvaros shoulder, he's holding onto Alvaros hoodie for support since the younger is shorter and to be in that position he has to bend his legs. Alvaro has his hands on Ales shoulders as they whisper to eachother. Roshaun and Robert are talking about tiktok drama, showing eachother their phones, eyes wide.
On the way there a couple freshmen girls stop and stare, some of their classmates record short snippets of their joined hands, a boy even snarls at them but for the most part no one cares. So what if Kairis gay? Who the fuck gives a shit. But the small amount of people that have their eyes plastered on Kairi are making him want to jump off a bridge. Mattia noticed the tension filled in Kairis stiff steps and wants to literally cut off everyone's head. He growled at the boy that was glaring at them before leaning down to Kairis level.
"I'll be with you all the way bebé," Mattia whispered to his boyfriend who nodded slowly. Kairi was so grateful for the boy next to him. Mattia was there for him, helped him through his nerves, ready to risk it all for Kairi. Kairi knew that Mattia himself was struggling with the idea to be out but Mattia was too focused on helping Kairi feel better about it to think about having to come out himself soon.
They reach the boys and Mattia daps Robert and Roshaun up while Kairi stands there awkwardly, fidgeting as he clings onto Mattia. Mattia leans over to Roshaun and whispers into his ear who nods and whispers into Roberts ear. Kairi snickers at this, feeling out of the circle, he looks over at Ale and Alvaro who are still glued together, whispering as well. Kairi pulls at Mattias sleave.
"What are all y'all whispering about?" He says irritated. Mattia chuckles and ruffles his hair with a smile. Roshaun flicks Kairi on the forehead.
"Bitch we love you, you're the homie don't fucking think we'll treat you different, n**** that ain't how it work,"
"Yeah hoe, you actin' like we betrayed these bitches when they started fucking eachother," Robert points toward Alejandro and Alvaro who snicker and Robert rolls his eyes at Kairi. Kairi should be annoyed- they are messing with him cause he over thinks but instead he gushes. Of course he knew his friends weren't the type, he just came out so bluntly. He chuckled and rolled his eyes (errbody droopy) before letting go of Mattias hand and hugging Roshaun and Robert who in return hug him back. Being how they are they do grunt, and groan and Roshaun mutters a little 'dumb bitch'.
Kairi pulls away from the hug of insults yet he feels loved. His anxiety calmed and he felt stupid that it was even present. Ale and Alvaro joined the group and Alvaro dapped Kairi up with a wide smile, Kairi returning it, his mood obviously lifted.
"Ayee, bottom gang!" Alvaro says making Roshaun shake his head, robert face palm, Alejandro sniffle a laugh, Mattia chuckle and Kairi make a disgusted face. He pushes Alvaro away.
"I ain't no fucking bottom bro," the group burst out laughing at this before Mattia pulls Kairi closer to him.
"Kairi, you're the fucking bottom," Mattia tells him. Kai rolls his eyes and shoves him playfully.
"Am not."
"Are too"
"Nope."
"Who the fuck is then," Mattia raises a manicured eyebrow at the smaller. Kairi looks Mattia dead in the eye as if to point at him which makes Mattia laugh sarcastically.
"You're literally negative 4'11 Kairi. You could never top me," Mattia says, getting a little to serious. Kairi rolls his eyes.
"My height has NOTHING to do with the subject, asshole. I'm not a bottom periodt. You're the one who always has their ass out,"
"That don't mean I want your wittle dick in it!" Mattia exclaims, making a couple of people at them weird and the boys struggle to keep their laughter away.
"Oh fuck you, Mattia. Guess we ain't ever doing it then," Kairi huffs. Ale snorts at that.
"Sorry but you denying him sex litteraly screams bottom, Kairi," Kairi scuntches his face up, sticking his bottom lip out slightly and furrowing his eyebrows.
"How?! I'm... punishing him?" Kairi says the second part a little quieter. The group laughs, shaking their head at the little one.
"Yeah... but it still screams bottom. Power bottom," Alejandro teases and Mattia wraps his arms around Kairi, resting his head on the wasians shoulder.
"Don't be so salty, boyfriend," Kairi huffs at Mattia yet he still leans into the boy.
"Wait! Y'all boyfriend!?!?!" Roshaun exclaims.
"Yeah..?"
"I thought we were jus messin around cause y'all gay or whateva," he looks so innocently confused it's hard not to laugh.
The bell rings for homeroom and the boys separate. On the way there Kenzie smiles at Kairi, giving him a short nod which he returns. Kenzie was the school's lesbian that everyone seemed to love but she was never even interested that Kairi went to her school until she saw some of the hate and promised to show him support. After receiving a kiss on the forehead from Mattia in front of his homeroom Kairi went inside and sat down. The straight boy in front of him looked back at him and squinted his eyes, glaring at the smaller boy before muttering a quiet "homo" and looking back at his phone. At first Kairi was shooketh but then he laughed. If he guy knew the guy or if the guy had said something actually mean it wouldn't be different but who the fuck says homo. Kairi couldn't help but text the boys about it.
