Stuck Inbetween: Chapter 5

"Well, I'm just saying that I think Mike does like me, and I don't care what you guys say", Kim says. She's been talking about Mike the whole ride home, and it seems more like she's the one that likes Mike.

"Okay, go get your stuff, we'll wait out here", Lily says, completely changing the topic, thank god.

"Kay, I'll be right back", I say, while getting out of the car. I walk to the front door, get my keys out, and open the door. The second I open the door, a really disgusting smell fills my nose. I cough a few times because the smell is way too strong. I kick off my shoes and yell for Mike.

"YEAH?", he yells back.

"Why does it smell so bad?", I asked, half yelling.

"I don't know I've been upstairs all day"

"Well, come and get rid of this smell, I have to go to my sleepover", I yell back, while opening a window. I start my way upstairs when Mike opens his door. The second he opens the door a disgusted look comes upon his face.

"Nasty, I'll go check what it is", he says. Right then my phone starts to ring.

"Hello?", I ans,wer not even bothering to check the ID number.

"Where are you? Don't you want to leave before Mikes friends get there?", Lily asks. Now I know who it is.

"Sorry, it's just that when I got in, the house smelled like crap, so I had to tell Mike and open a couple windows, I'll be there in a few minutes", I say.

"Okay, hurry, bye", and the line goes dead. I quickly run into my room and just shove some clothes, pjs, socks, and my toothbrush and make up bag and stuff it all in my LOVE PINK beach bag. Right that second I hear the door bell ring, and I know it's Mikes friends. I start to panic so I grab my bag, run out of my room and look over the railing to see where all of them are. They were still at the front door, so I quickly make a plan in my head to go through the back door somehow. I tiptoe down the stairs and take another look at the front door to double check. When I see something that caused me to do a double take. It was Louis. Louis Balard, from first grade. I froze. Then to my luck my phone rang, and all heads turned to me.

Busted.

"Bella , is that you?", Louis asks, shocked.

"Ya", I say awkwardly while I grab my phone.

"Hello?", I whisper into my phone, which doesn't really do anything considering its dead silent. In fact so silent that they can probably hear Lily on the other end.

"I called to tell you that the boys are here", she said really fast as if she could still have a chance to warn me.

"Little to late for that now", I said.

"Oh shoot, um well just try to get out of there", she said and than I heard Kim's voice in the back questioning what happened.

"Ya, I will bye", I say while quickly hanging up and stepping down the last few steps.

"Bella, I haven't seen you in so long, I've missed you", Louis says, as if he doesn't know why I haven't talked to him in like the past 9 years.

"Ya, me too", I say awkwardly.

"Well, nice seeing you, um I sort of have a place to be-", I was cut off by Nate. I was surprise he didn't speak earlier , and I just noticed that the smell was gone too, weird.

"Where are you going?", he asks being the over protected...I don't know what, he is.

"A sleepover", I say not wanting to argue.

"At who's?", he asks again. You'd think my brother would be acting like this, but no, not at all.

"At a friends, but I should be going now so bye", I say while rushing to the front door. I open the door, step out, and the second I hear Nate asking another question, I slam the door shut. I hurry to my car, open the drivers door and hoop in.

"OMG what happened?", Kim suddenly asks. One thing I hate that Kim does is use text terms in reality.

"Well, there was some talking and questions and awkwardness, with Louis", I say spacing the words a little.

"LOUIS BALARD?", Lily screams.

"Yaeh", I say while turning the car on and shifting into gear.

"OH MY GOD, tell us everything", Kim yells.

"I don't want to now, I'll tell you guys after dinner, I'm starving", I state.

"Fine", they both huff, which was a little odd and creepy. I turned the corner and headed to Lily's house, leaving the awkwardness behind.

I really hope this was long enough, if not I am soooooo sorry I just rally wanted to post at least something, because I haven't in like forever and I had no homework today, so I thought WHY THE HELL NOT????!?
