...But my thoughts lead somewhere else and it wasn't my mind tricking me.
I heard a gallop of paws increasing to my direction as I hesitated.
all of a sudde--
Phone: ♫ ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, I'M GONNA FIND YA, I'LL GET YOU! ♫
One direction was ticking me off, seriously. My little sister changed the ringtone to a song voiced by 5 men who are British and eww.. but wait- WHY AM I THINKING ABOUT THIS?
I turned my phone off and I actually ran for life as the noise grew closer. Howls and squeals from the wolves grew even closer.
I ran a couple of meters and looked back to see if they were following me.
In the dark, 4 shadows grew bigger, until I saw 4 BODIES. That's my cue to sprint.
'Okay Carina, just imagine your crush is watching you win a race with joy, I'll beat everyone.
I won't let those wolves beat me.' I shook my head and just acted everything out as if it actually happened.

~MEANWHILE~
Poor Kati Farkas didn't know what was happening. So she decided to lower herself down underground and find Carina, due to her worry.
Kati: *pants* CARINA?
It echoed. Carina was on the other side of Kati in the cave, lost and hopeless, trying to flee from wolves, a HUNGRY pack of wolves to be precise.
-
"All I ever hoped for was for luck. This is what I get in return?"
I didn't even stop to have a rest because the wolves were near me and i'd be dead meat if I didn't do anything about it!
"Nails. No, not in this situation Carina. NOT NOW."
My mind screamed back and forth, all over the place. If only Kati hadn't shown me this 'Big, Underground, mysterious hole.' in the first place.
2 tunnels in front of my race. Yes, I'll win to the wolves and confuse them! I went on the left tunnel, hopefully their tiny-shaped brains will confuse them..
"Oi you." From behind me, I heard a sound... It sounded more like a woman to be exact.
"You must of been curious of my mysterious disguise you saw earlier today...Carina."
I skidded to stop and quickly turned around in shock.
One of the wolves. "It.. It knew my name. Most importantly, HOW IS THIS WOLF TALKING?"
