There were times, When I first stole a glance of you cause I saw you across the corridor wearing my favourite silver-grey shirt.
There were times, When you noticed me in front of the assembly from the podium.
There were times, When I thought you were a meathead, Cause you had that lingering cold look on your face that sometimes comes across heartless.
There were times, When you saw me as a child, That needs to be protected from the cruelty of the hard wild world.
There were times, When I saw you as the best friend I could ever have.
There were times you thought, It was wrong to see me more than as a best friend.
There were times When I fell for you. Everytime you made me laugh, Every time you made my day just a little bit better.
There were times, You approached me voluntarily
even though that was never your style.
There were times, I was scared cause I knew I should not want you.
There were times, You were scared for wanting what you want.
There were times, I just needed just a single text from you.
There were times, When you couldn't be there.
There were times, I tried to stop cause I knew this could never happen.
There were times, You wanted to stop but you just couldn't.
There were many times, I cried myself to sleep.
There were times, You couldn't sleep cause life just sucked.
There were times, When I longed to see just a glimpse of you.
There were times, You just saw into the long future.
There were times, We both never said we loved each other.
But..
There was never a time, We didn't feel it.
There were times, We adored each other, Craved for each other, Missed each other but there was never a time we were tired of each other.
There were times, You cried when I was in The Bed.
There were times, When I silently cried when You were in The Bed.
There were times, You thought I would give up.
There were times, I bumped you in the nose and said 'This is for better or worse.'
There were times, We were not married and yet we fought like a married couple.
There were times, We were just friends but you protected me like we were siblings.
There were times, We gossiped like high schoolers.
There were times, We giggled into each other's ears like long lost lovers.
There were times, You prepared my first public speech and everyone just worshiped it. It was one of the best day of my life.
There were times, I forced you to listen my favorite songs and gave you earworm.
There were times, I couldn't understand the music lyrics.
But suddenly every lyric was about you.
There were times, You completed my French assignment for me cause I missed my deadline.
There were times, You walked before me shielding me while crossing the road.
There were times, When you stuck by me when I threw up like an active volcano.
There were times, We got too comfortable that romance seemed dead.
There were times, Yoy held my hand and said Baby, it's gonna be okay.
There were times, You held my hand as we both breathed through my pain.
There were many times, You wiped my tears as you teared up watching me.
There were times you were so wise beyond your age.
There were times, I was a nagging toddler.
There were times, We were broken.
But still we loved each other.
There were times with tears and agony but there were also times of absolute miracles.
So love, I'm grateful not to you or even myself but to God for choosing you for me. I truly believe we were hand picked by him to be soul mates.
You once said we were magnetic. I didn't believe you.
But now I think it was not you not me, It was him.
There times I believed, You could never be mine
But...
Yet here we are.
