After walking for an hour or so, making sure no one was following us, we finally stopped and sat down.
'What the hell is going on Tommy?' I hissed.
'Whats going on is the end of this bloody place. Teresa set off The Ending remember? Well the sky turning grey is only the start of the weird. We can talk in our minds, to each other, we can have whole conversations with each other in our heads. It is frustrating though because we both remember so much and nothing at the same time, I am connected to her Ethan. I can feel it. We knew each other before coming in here and I know what I have to do.' He said before sitting in front of me, biting his lip nervously and waiting for my reaction.
I sat with a blank expression on my face, 'Sounds pretty messed up Tommy,' I smirked.
He smiled at me and stood up, he held a hand out to me, I grabbed it and he hauled me to my feet. We walked back towards the homestead to come face to face with a Glade full of panicked Gladers. Thomas and I looked at each other and bolted. We ran around for what felt like decades before we found Newt and Minho.
'What the bloody hell is going on?' Thomas asked.
'What's going on?! Are you blind?!' Newt shouted before taking a deep breath.
'The doors, the doors haven't closed.' Newt said calmly after gathering his thoughts.
I looked around at each door. Newt was right, not that he was often wrong, the doors were wide open and even though the sky was still a dull grey it had to be night time. As I looked around and took the whole scene in, I grew more and more shocked. Gladers were running everywhere, carrying wood and metal and tools in their arms.
'What are we going to do? The Greivers will....' Thomas started before trailing off.
'We are all going into the homestead. A few of us will stay upstairs, the rest will stay downstairs. We will board the windows and doors, some Gladers are boarding up the doors but we both know that will only delay the Grievers, not stop them.' Minho said to us. We nodded solemnly. A while later, every single glader was inside the homestead trying desperately to sleep. I was upstairs with a few people, waiting for the enevitable. Teresa had been locked in the Slammer and to be honest she was a lot safer than we were right now.
