I sat down on the bed I woke up in, Newt sat beside me and sighed I could already tell this was going to be a long explanation so I propped myself up with my pillow against the wall and got comfy.

'Something happened to you when you were down in that room busting your gut to save Tommy, Teresa and Chuck. You didn't get stung and don't get me wrong you did an amazing job, you killed more Grievers than any of us. Most of us only killed 1 at the most, everyone else could only injure them to the point that they ran back into the Maze. We don't know what happened to you but we could tell it was bad. You passed out and nothing we did or said to you could wake you up, it was like something shut you down as if you were a bloody computer. Anyway, these people showed up with Gally and he......he....' Newt stuttered.

'Newt...?' I asked suspiciously.

'Gally killed Chuck. We all took it hard but not as hard as Tommy, the guy held him and cried for what seemed like hours while he bled out. Anyway, another group of people came and saved us. They took us here, laid you in here and left 2 guys with you while they took us away to eat. We went to sleep that night with full stomachs and actually feeling safe for once in our lives. We woke up the next morning with the doors locked and our windows shattered. There were bars on the windows and there were these zombie looking people outside with their faces ripped up and stuff. They were screaming and screaming. They called themselves Cranks. Finally I grabbed a fire extinguisher and broke the handle off the door so we could get out before THEY got IN. We walked out and found the room completely dark, we found the light switches eventually but when we turned them on, we seriously wished we hadn't. The guys that saved us, the ones that busted their butts to get us out of that buggin Maze that WCKD built, were strung up on the ceiling dead.' Newt said.

Suddenly I felt sick to my stomach, I didn't want to see that. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Was this real or hadn't I woken up yet?

'Teresa was gone, some guy was in there and she was gone. Tommy is pretty messed up about it.' Newt said.

'Yeah, I bet he is.' I thought to myself with disgust.

Ever since she had shown up, Thomas had been avoiding me. Dropping anything and everything to be with the girl and I hated it. I had been there for him from the start, not her.

'The Shanks name is Aris. He is from another Maze. Apparently WCKD created 2 Mazes, two tests. One with all boys and one girl, another with all girls and one boy. Aris was the boy in the girls Maze. Turns out everything was the same for them as it was for us. They had Grievers, they had a Homestead, a Farm, a Box, doors that closed every night, everything. Anyway you know how Thomas could....speak? with Teresa in his head? Turns out when she and Aris were swapped, everything swapped. Thomas can speak to Aris in his mind, Teresa is gone and she doesn't remember Thomas. Turns out she and him can still speak but she doesn't because she doesn't know him anymore. It's like her mind was erased again and it sounds like she hates him now.' Newt continued.

I smiled to myself then stopped, what was I doing?! Thomas cared about her!

'We were all starving, there were only 5 rooms. Our bedroom, our bathroom, the common room, Aris's bedroom, and Aris's bathroom. There was no food anywhere. We would have died if the next morning the guy didn't appear.' Newt said with a shake of his head in relief.

'Appear?' I asked curiously.

'Yeah yeah, I'm getting to it. This guy appeared out of no where this morning, his feet on  desk, reading a book like none of us existed. He was behind some sort of force field, we couldn't get past it but we could hear him and he could hear us. Anyway he said that he would talk to us when he was instructed to do so.' Newt said before looking at a watch on his wrist.

'Speaking of time, he should be explaining stuff any minute, lets go' Newt said as he stood.

I stood and held the side of the bed. I walked to the door when I was sure I wouldn't fall flat on my face when I let go. We went into the common room. Newt was right, some guy was sitting at a desk with his feet up and he was reading a book. Suddenly he put the book down and looked up at us. He sighed an exaggerated, disgusted sigh and stood.
