Angst Headcanons for Eugene - ~~~~ Nonsense :) ~~~
- Eugene doesn't like to be alone at night. All the negative thoughts rush to his head, causing him to overthink and panic. He wants to ask someone if he can stay in their room, but he's too nervous to do so. Because of this, he often stays up at night, trying to distract himself.
- Before the apocalypse, Eugene loved to help others and make them smile. He had a lot of friends because of this. He knows his friends would always be there for him, but whenever he needed someone to talk to, they never respond to his text until hours later or never seemed to care. That caused him to push everyone away and saying he's fine when he's secretly hurting.
- When he came across other people, Lawrence and the group, he was so relieved to see others, though he still didn't trust them. As time went on, he grew close and had that gut feeling that they're family to him. Because of that long lost feeling, he wanted to protect them and keep them safe.
- Eugene almost lost his life trying to save the others from a mistake he made. He accidentally pulled the fire alarm in a store, causing a herd of zombies to surround them. There was only one way out, but the zombies were coming too fast for everyone to escape. Zion tried to make Eugene leave before him, trying to keep him safe, but Eugene refused and continued to fight off the zombies until he knew the others were okay.
- Since he's rude to newcomers, Eugene won't really feel sorry for his actions until later. He knows how scary it is to be alone, and he wants to go apologies to them, but he just doesn't want to seen as weak. Because of that, he often shows that he cares and is sorry through his actions like sharing food or just by having a nice conversation until he has the guts to say he's sorry.
