I remember it was cold and my mom had left yet again.we had just moved into the neighborhood and I had walked away from her i was 6 at the time and for me my life was all ready figured out to grow up move out and work till i die.
But then i saw kevin..

he was poking a small blob on the other side of the road.

"What are you doing?" I ask

"Im currently in the process of trying to figure out if its dead or not."

"What is it?"
I asked

"It's a racoon idiot" he replied

"Why are you mean?"
I said

"Why are you so stupid?"
He replied

As a kid i was very interested very curious about this boy with black hair and piercing eye

"What's your name?"

"Why should i tell you"he said mumbling "creep" before dropping the stick and runing inside his home.

I looked down at the supposed racoon poking it to see if it was really dead. I turned it around and it wasn't a racon, it was a cat.
The cat must've gotton hit by a car it wasn't moving and it was cold but then i head a small very small

"Meow" i checked to see if it was breathing he was very slow breaths but breathing. He was alive.

I took it inside

After 3 weeks of having the cat my mom noticed it. I hadn't named it i didnt want to get attached i did get beat by my mom. I had been selling my candy to get money for the kittens food.

I ran across the street with the kitten.

" Kevin i think someones here to see you sweet" my mom said

Stared her and walked to the door.

"What is it idiot?"
I asked

"Can you take him?"
I heard her say.

"Take who?"

"S weThe kitten you thought was dead remember he's alive and healthy but my mom doesn't want him in the house. Kevin we can just leave him alone again please il pay for his food" she rambled off.

I looked at her like she was crazy i mean she was. She was...

"Yes honey?" Jeez had she been stading there or did she have supersonic speed?

"Can we take the damn cat from her shes doesnt want it" i asked.

"Well i dont know son maybe." She answered

"Make up your mind women" i yelled.

She got down to the little girls hight. "What's her name?"

"His name will haven't really named him"

"Well hes going to need a name idiot" i replied.

"Okay ill call him Kevin after you" she said.

"Your not naming a cat after me!"

"Why not you asked me to name him i want to call him Kevin." She said with dominance.

"Nuh" i said lets "call him---"

"KEVIN HIS NAME IS KEVIN"

"okay..... Jeez psycho"

After that day i came to kevins  yard every day. When school started and i followed kevin non-stop he was my only friend.
