After Ally and Soldierson formally forge their bond as partners, they are given a few days to gather supplies and tour around the city. Soldierson uses this as an opportunity to visit a friend of his before their new mission is decided.

"It's been a week since everything happened.." Ally thought to herself

Life in Hydrapolis had returned to normal: bustling merchants on horseback selling products, civilians and tourists streaming through the streets, and the guards patrolling the streets.

She remembered the solemn nights that followed after the passing of Jackal. Thousands of citizens looked in despair and the city felt dull and gloomy as the leaves became changing to a golden brown.

"We're here." Soldierson commented as Ally returned to reality

Ally looked up at the sign, it said The Grand Tail

"What is this place?" Ally asked with confusion

"Great question, this is an old tavern I used to work at before being recruited to the Hydra Army." Soldierson boasted

"Then it must've been a vibrant and dull tavern." Ally snickered

"Whatever, let's go inside." Soldierson replies

They walked inside to find a nice medieval-like tavern fit with a fine wine collection, a nice reddish oven filled with nicely baked bread, and a beautiful circle surrounded by lights.

Soldierson walked in, suddenly remembering that she was still there. Ally's eyes focused on the

girl staring at Soldierson intently.
"Is that you?" She said as she slowly lifted herself from her chair.
"Eri... that can't be you." He slowly lifted his voice. "I... thought you were leaving."

"No sweetheart, I... waited for you." Eri timidly replied

Their vibrant and obvious chemistry filled Ally with jealousy. She had just met Eri, but already she was a rival.

"Hey, I believe we haven't met before." Eri replied sheepishly

"Of course we haven't." Ally grunted, "May I ask how you know Soldierson?"

"We met at our Graduation Party, I remember him looking at me the entire time at the party. It seemed that nothing mattered to him except me." She silently replied, "Although that was a long time ago."

"Yes, that was a long time ago!" Soldierson quickly interjected, "I will excuse myself to the restroom."

As the restroom door closed, the two women were by themselves.

"So..., how did you meet Soldierson?" Eri questioned

"I met him after he was assigned my partner." Ally explained, "I was originally Jackal's partner."

"Ja--, Jackal?!" Eri exclaimed, "I'm pleased to meet his protege, forgive my rude behavior earlier."

"It's okay, glad to meet you, my name is Ally." Ally smiled

They shook hands before abruptly hearing Soldierson walking back into the Tavern. He looked at them as they separated their hands and they blushed in embarrassment.
"I came here with a favor to ask of you." Soldierson responded, "Although, let's sit down and eat first."

As they sat down and gouged on deliciously baked bread and luxurious wine from the cellar. As they laughed about old memories and tales they had heard along their journey, time passed rapidly.
