Jackal's assignment leads him to an abandoned war camp that had been notoriously known for their human experiments and staining the reputation of the Hydra Empire as a result.
The site had been abandoned over a century according to the military, but it seems that the remnants are still intact.
Jackal decides to bring his apprentice Ally to give her proper field experience before she graduates since the mission seems relatively simple but he feels suspicious while reviewing the report.
"Operation Mecron," Jackal spoke abruptly, "That's what the higher-ups called it."
Staring at the desolate dry land surrounded by miniature hills and fields of pasture, Jackal slowly pointed to grouped craters that began appearing as the spaceship flew further away from the city.
"All these territories have been crippled by warmongering states and radical insurgents in their meaningless conflicts that killed millions." Jackal continued, "We had no reason to enter this conflict, but we did."
"What happened during Operation Mecron?" Ally interjected
"Operation Mecron was the reason I transferred to H.Q" Jackal lamented, "We broke, tormented, and then exploited them like they were animals, it was too much for me, so I resigned from my position and notified my superior officer at the time and landed in H.Q."
Ally looked into Jackal eyes, his once vivid blue eyes had suddenly begun showing gray patches as he looked at the ground.
Her shoulders stiffened as her eyes shifted away from Jackal and she turned towards the window of the spaceship.
"Pilot, are we ready to land?" Jackal growled
"Yes, the coordinates that I had been given have put us in this spot, I'm landing the spaceship above this small hill ." The Pilot replied
"Hurry and land the ship!" Jackal demanded
"Understood, Captain Jackal!" The Pilot answered

He was unsure whether Ally, who was a newly inducted captain, was ready for missions like this.
When he had received the assignment and found out that Ally was accompanying him, he demanded to know why Cookie had assigned her the task.
"Jackal, she's ready for the mission, it's truly about whether you are ready to let her grow as an individual." Cookie explained, "She can never be sheltered forever from the harsh reality we live in."
Suddenly, Jackal heard Ally, "Jackal, what are you waiting for?"
Jackal realized that they had already landed.
They looked at the laboratory, the entrance doors were torn from the gate. There were no signs of life or other enemies. It looked abandoned by the intruders.
Jackal signaled Ally to follow him inside the laboratory.
Ally followed him inside, and she took out her blade as she saw skeletons and corpses lying around the chambers.
"What... is this ...?" Ally asked
"This is a Hydrian Blacksite, we used it to torture political opponents and deserters at this site." Jackal explained, "Patchy modified it into a laboratory after the first war."
