Jisung walks in the moment I step away from Chan, eyeing the both of us suspiciously. He meets my eyes slowly, "Hey sweetheart I think I'm gonna head home. I'm starting to feel super tired and I have the early shift at the ice cream shop tomorrow."
"I'm sorry babe, didn't mean to keep you locked up here if you were tired, I'll walk ya to the door," I respond pouting, I wrap my arms around him tight and puff my cheeks out. "Will I see you tomorrow, my lil Lovey?"
He giggles softly, his head knocking back just a little, "Of course my little lovey." He burrows his face in my neck, "You'll just have to wait until after I get out of work."
I let go of his torso and reach for one of his hands, "I can walk with you home."
"But then I would want to walk you home."
"But I don't want to let go."
I hear my mom giggling, "You guys are adorable."
Chris shoots up like he's just had the grandest epiphany, "Wait, Jisung, would you mind if I drove you home? I should probably head back home, make sure Felix and Hyunjin aren't wrecking the house."
"I mean, sure, if you want to. You really don't have to," Jisung awkwardly replies, "It's not a very far walk."
"I insist, it's getting dark, you're my best friend's soulmate and it's on my way home. Plus, maybe we could get to know each other better," Chris persuasively points out. He really knows how to sweet talk.
Jisung smiles mischievously, "As long as I get to hear an embarrassing story about Y/N."
Chris giggles, "Of course, I've got tons of those."
"Don't embarrass me too much Christopher," I whine swatting him lightly with my hands, "If you do you won't be able to come over to my house and flirt with my mom anymore."
Jisung breaks out in the loudest sweetest laughter I've ever heard, I mean he sounds like a hyperventilating hyena, but it's sweet I guess. Watching his laughter build up is so endearing to me, no matter how loud and obnoxious his laugh may be. I can 100% feel myself falling for him.
Chris just stares at me, "You can't keep me from my one true love! Mama Moonie is the love of my life!"
"I heard that!" yells my dad from the other room, which causes everyone to bust out in laughter. In this moment my life feels like a dream or a cheesy teen rom com with all fluff and no angst. Which is almost refreshing, I like this feeling, this feeling that nothing could ever go wrong when I'm surrounded by the people I care about.
Jisung taps my shoulder, "Lets go somewhere a little quieter, to talk." I nod in response grabbing his hand and pulling him toward the front door.
"Yeah?" I ask softly, cocking my head to the side.
"I just realized I never got your number saved in my phone, and I think that's pretty important," he says handing me his phone, "Just put your number in and text yourself, and then we can talk all night. It'll be like I never left. Especially if we FaceTime."
I hand him his phone, "I put my number in, you better call me when you get home, if you don't I might just have to walk to your house. At night, when it's dark, and scary."
"Well I'll make sure to call you, and then we can talk all night if we want," he states, happiness clear in all of his features.
"Before I go though, there is one thing I'd like to do-" he starts, but I cut him off with a quick kiss, "-well I mean that is what I wanted to do."
I giggle, "Oops?"
He laughs with me, and grabs my hands, "I'll see you tomorrow, lovey." He pulls me in a for a tight hug, and with my ear to his chest I can hear his heart racing. Awww he's nervous, I wish I never had to let go.
"Ready to go 'Sung?" Chris calls out, trying to sound cool and casual, but I can tell by his voice he's nervous too, part of me wonders if he saw us kiss and was worried about interrupting our moment.
"Yeah, lets go Chan," Jisung responds curtly, his tone may have been rough but the smile didn't leave his face.* Jisung's POV *
I really didn't want to leave Y/N's house, her family seems so nice and so open, and a family dinner is different than what I'm used to. I'm used to dinner being made but we all go off and eat in our own areas. There's love there, but everyone is busy with their own tasks. Besides, what fun is leaving my soulmate.
"Aye mate, what's on your mind?" Chan asks me, "You can talk to me about any and everything."
I smile, he actually is nice, "Well I was just thinking about how different Y/N and I's families are."
Chan glances over at me, "Aren't they great?" A giant smile breaks out across his face, "You're one lucky guy, being her soulmate and everything. Her family are all super welcoming, and Moonie is beautiful herself." It seems like he stops himself from saying more, I watch him as he bites his lip like he said too much. I guess my assumptions were right and he did love her as more than a friend.
"She is, she's gorgeous. And she's so kind, she won a prize at the arcade that a little kid was really looking forward to winning and she looked for the kid and gave it to him," I tell Chris, "She also has a gorgeous smile, it's sweet, even sweeter than ice cream. I knew from the minute she walked into my fathers ice cream shop that she must be the one. It felt like there was a little man inside my chest playing the harp with my heart strings."
"That's one hell of a story, you really are lucky," Chris says, "Alright, it looks like we're here, right? Your house is above the ice cream shop, right?"
I smile at him, feeling accomplished, I know he's in love with her now, "Yeah, I'll see you soon Chan. Have a good night."
I walk up to the building and unlock the door, a wide smile on my face. I'm so ready to tell my mom and dad about Y/N, they'll love her before they even meet her.*Chris/Chan's POV*
I can't get what Jisung said to me out of my head, about the feeling of someone playing his heart strings like a harp when he met Moonie. I felt that same feeling when I danced with Moonie at a formal dance when we were 14. I mean it's not like I can really see any colors though. So I know she's not my soulmate, but I felt my heart beating the way Jisung described it.
Oh well, it's not like I can do anything about that feeling anymore. Moon Y/N has found her soulmate, it's not like me telling her this will change anything she and I are still best friends and she'll only ever see me as her best friend. It's okay, I accept this fate of mine. To only love her as a friend and only be loved by her as a friend. That's probably all we were meant to be anyway.A/N
Things are starting to get a lil frisky lol
