(He had been texting Diana a lot lately always over thinking what to say and worrying about it but every time she would respond with encouragement and understanding.)
(Clark couldn't deny it anymore, he had fallen in love with Diana Prince, he wasn't sure exactly when it happened but every time she looked at him across the room or spoke to him he felt a surge of warmth and power stronger than the sun had ever granted him)
(..but one day...everything changed)
(Batman came back, he'd been away from the Watchtower in Gotham for months without checking in and suddenly he was back and that..would complicate things..)
(It was no secret to Clark that Bruce liked Diana too, although Bruce hadn't admitted it in the past, Clark could see it clearly and now that he was back Clark couldn't help but feel uneasy around him)
(It's not that Clark hated Bruce, on the contrary Clark quite liked Bruce, he was a valued friend and ally..it's just...whenever Bruce smirked at Diana...Clark's fist would clench and his eyes would heat up red)
(Despite all of that, Clark was willing to put those feelings aside for the sake of the team and try to get back to business as usual...but he couldn't shake the feeling that this wasn't going to end well..not for anyone)
