Trial of the Trinity

Heartbreak

(Before he could process what was happening Diana's lips were on his,  kissing him with extreme passion and intensity)

(Clark couldn't believe it, he'd never felt anything so amazing in his life...but then he noticed something else)

(Clark's eyes stared down at a very odd rock sitting in Diana's room, a silver rock)

Diana: "Clark? What is it?"

Clark: "Where'd you get this?"

(He walked up to the rock and picked it up to examine it but accidentally cut his finger on it..drawing blood)

(Clark's eyes widened in fear as he realized what had just happened..this was no ordinary rock)

Diana: "Clark are you okay?"

(Clark turned to face her but he stumbled, he began to feel dizzy as the effect of the rock took hold, Diana moved to hold him steady)

Diana: "What were you looking at? I thought we..well you know."

Clark: "The..the rock. There's something not right here...Bruce."

Diana: "What are you talking about?"

Clark: "Diana it's Bruce isn't it? He gave you this meteor rock to help kill me. Didn't he?"

Diana: "Meteor rock? Kal you're imagining things. You know I could never harm you. Now you should really lie down."

Clark: "Yeah so you can turn me over to Bruce? So he can dissect me for his weird mad scientist experiments in his little Bat Cave?"

Diana: "Kal El you're not making any sense. Bruce and I are your friends. We'd never do anything to hurt you."

Clark: "Too late! I saw you flirting with him. I know you want him more. So just say it. Say it and put me out of my misery!"

(Diana sighed)

Diana: "All right. The truth is Bruce and I have been having an affair. It started back when you were dead. And to tell you the truth I do not feel bad about it because he's just..a cooler superhero than you."

(What Clark didn't realize was that Diana hadn't actually said any of that, he was hallucinating due to the affect of the Silver meteor rock making him paranoid)

Diana: "Please Clark...Bruce and I are just friends. There could never be anything between us. I thought you knew me better than that."

(But Clark didn't hear any of that, his fist clenched as his rage rose to the surface)

(Clark's heat vision lit up his eyes, Diana saw it coming and leapt out of the way just as twin red beams fired, burning everything in the room, Diana managed to escape the fire and leap out into the hallway as Clark smashed through the wall after her)

Clark: "How could you do this Diana?" (His voice broke with hurt) "You broke my heart..."

(Tears flowed down Diana's face, she shook her head at an utter loss when Barry, Victor and Arthur ran in)

Arthur: "Hot damn!"

(He gestured to the fire)

Barry: "Yeah no kidding."

(Barry quickly spun his arms super fast to put out the fire by generating wind)

Victor: "You guys okay? What happened?"

(Diana was too distraught to respond as Cyborg turned to Clark)

Clark: "I..I did this. Diana..."

(Realizing what he'd just done, and what he almost did caused guilt to overcome him)

Clark: "I'm...I'm sorry."

(Diana just looked at Clark with hurt in her eyes which was more than Clark could bear)

(Clark opened the air lock and flew out into space without looking back)

Arthur: "What the hell is going on?"

Diana: "..I wish I knew.."
