The cave was nothing like Michael has imagined it. Which he should've expected considering the group he was with. However, he wasn't expecting the place to look so homey in a way.

Oil barrels and candles lit up the area, casting a warm glow on the various walls, one of which had a tapestry of Jim Morrison hanging off. Various pieces of artwork covered other areas along with mismatched furniture. Other openings indicated to more rooms or tunnels at the very least.

His train of thought was broken when he heard a small cry and turned in time to catch Mina, who had caught her foot on some of the debris at the entrance. She looked up at him from where she was pressed up against his chest. Her cheeks had flushed lightly and Michael could feel his own face heating up. His arms had automatically wrapped themselves around her hips to stable them both, whilst hers were pressed up against his chest.

He loosened his arms when her own pushed lightly at his chest. Michael immediately felt sad at the loss of her body against his.

"Eroul meu," she spoke softly and pecked his cheek before wandering over to David.

Paul patted Michael on the shoulder as Dwayne chuckled at the duo. The native man put his arm around Paul and smiled at the newcomer.

"It means 'My Hero'" Dwayne explained as Paul curled in closer.

"Huh?" The younger man shook his head in confusion causing Marko and Laddie to giggle whilst Paul and Dwayne shared a knowing look.

"She called you her hero, in case you were wondering." Marko offered, snickering likely.

Suddenly, Michael was pulled under David's arm once again.

He felt confused because one minute the boys were next to him and the next they had spread out. He didn't remember them moving but he could blame his lack of attention on Mina and David. Something drew him to them like a moth to a flame.

That same pull was evident with the rest of the group although the one to Laddie was more paternal in nature. He didn't know what was happening but he felt like he shouldn't fight it.

"Not bad huh? This was the hottest resort in Santa Carla about 85 years ago. Too bad they built it on a fault." David explained as he gestured to their surroundings.

He could see what must've been the front desk, now covered in various art supplies. Sketch books littered the surface along with paints and brushes. Paint splatters stained the wood and on the ground below it.

The wrought iron gates that had once belonged to the elevator were draped in materials. He noticed Mina adding her own leather jacket to the growing pile. The silver of the safety pins attached to her top glinted in the light.

"In 1906, when the big one hit San Francisco, the ground opened up and this place took a header right into the crack."

He guided Michael towards the fountain where Paul was rolling a blunt.
