The Story Of: A Princess~ Kaldur'ahm

I sigh as I follow Aqualad out to where the rest of the team was. Apparently, Batman wanted to question me the moment I was awake. I wrapped my arms around myself and looked down at my feet once we arrived in a large circular room where the team was. I could feel their stares on me, causing my heart to start beating frantically. "We aren't going to hurt you. So, don't faint again." The super clone must have been able to hear my heart. "Super Boy stand down." By the deep and grave voice, I could tell it was Batman. He had an air of authority around him

He stepped closer to me, causing me to look up. "We do need answers though." Why were you there with Ivo? Why were you important to him?" My nervousness kicked back in and I looked down. "I don't know. All I remember was going to get some lunch when Amazo was suddenly there and knocked me out. I woke up in the gymnasium tied up. Ivo was there and said my purpose would come soon enough. I just wanted to leave but then your team saw my powers and I'm ashamed to admit I panicked and ran. I don't know what caused my fainting spell." I could feel the disappointment from the lack of answers and look down at my feet.

I feel a comforting hand on my shoulder and turn to find Aqualad giving me a reassuring smile. "It's alright. We can figure this out, but in the meantime, I don't think it's safe for you to be alone." My eyebrows scrunch in confusion. "What do you mean? I live alone and don't have any family in the area so there's no one for me to stay with." Batman draws our attention again. "Aqualad is right, you aren't safe if Ivo sent Amazo after you. You'll be staying with the team until we can find some answers. Whether or not you go on missions will up to the team and you."

I saw super Boy stiffen from his place by the wall. Before he could start an argument, I cut in. "Thank you, but I don't like using my powers so the likeliness of me going on missions is slim." Yellow blur looked bummed. "Aw man, but we could use another girl on the team." Yellow blur immediately snaps out of his depression and turns to me. "You can call me Kid Flash. The most handsome member of this team." I giggle softly and smile. "You can call me Azure. It's nice to meet you."

He smirks. "Sure thing babe" I roll my eyes as Kid Flash's buddy elbows him in the gut. "I'm Robin. Ignore KF, that's what we do." I watch as KF glares at Robin and the two start to argue. The green skinned girl came up to me next. "I'm Miss Martian but you can call me M'gann or Megan!" Her loud and energetic voice threw me off, but I politely smiled at her. "It's nice to meet you Megan." I notice Super Boy was very uninterested in me. Since I already knew his name, I decided to leave him alone

The last person to step up to me was Aqualad. "I'm Aqualad but you can me Kaldur'ahm or Kaldur." I will admit I find Kaldur's voice very soothing for some reason. It instantly calmed my nerves and made me think everything would be okay. "M'ghann can show you to a room that will be yours for the duration of your stay. Kid Flash and Robin can grab some thinks for you if need be." My heartbeat increases. "I'd rather go myself honestly, if that's okay?" I can feel batman's and Super Boy's suspicion to this and look to my feet

M'ghann then came over excitedly and grabbed my hand. "Come on! I'll give you a tour of the place." As we leave the room the last thing I hear from the rest of the team is Super Boy. "I don't trust her."

I dejectedly look down and follow after M'ghann who after a few moments seemed to notice my sadness. "Don't let Super Boy get to you. It takes him time to warm up to people. He didn't like me at first either." I try and give her a smile but fail. "You don't have to be nice to me. You're probably suspicious of me as well." Her face turns into a look of confusion. "I'm not suspicious of you. I think you're a victim in this and want to help to the best of my ability."

It's my turn to be confused. Is it obvious I haven't had someone be this nice in a long time? I can feel tears building up and look down. "Thank you M'ghann." She then shows me to what will now be my room. "Ta-da! It's not much but you can decorate however you want. If you want to rest for a bit before I show you the rest of the mountain I understand." I nod and step inside the room. "Thank you, rest does sound really nice." 

She leaves and closes the door behind her while I start to look at my room. It was a plain room, the walls stone since it is a cave. I see there is a connected bathroom, the room on the other side of me probably shares it since there is another door leading to somewhere. I didn't have anything to decorate which caused me to sigh and sit down. This place felt so cold and closed off. I look at my hands and contemplate using my powers to decorate. It's true I don't like using them, but that's mostly in front of other people. My water manipulation is a constant reminder of my kingdom.......

I can also crystalize my water, which would make fore some interesting decorations. I walk into the bathroom and turn the sink on, the then slowly make the water form lines around the wall before crystalizing it. (Picture Above.) It almost reminded me of string lights girls hang up in their rooms. I give a small smile before laying down on the bed and falling asleep

I wake up to a soft knocking on the door and groggily walk over to open it. It's take my mind a moment to register M'ghann standing in front of me with her mouth dropped open in shock. I start to get worried but before I can ask, she walks in and looks around. "This is beautiful! Were you able to do this with your powers?" She asks excitedly while I cross my arms and look down at my feet. "Yeah, it's no big deal though." I shrug it off. "That's where you're wrong! This is amazing." Im starting to get uncomfortable with her praise and shift around. "Did you need something by any chance?"

This reminds her of why she's here. "Oh yeah! Dinner is ready if you're hungry at all?" she asks hopefully, making me think she did the cooking. "Sure, I could eat." I follow her to the kitchen where the whole team was. Plates are moving around by themselves, making me confused. Kid Flash comes over and wraps an arm around my shoulders. "Megan's powers are awesome. Glad you decided to join us babe." I step away from his arm and close to Megan.

"My name is Azure, not babe." I say softly as M'ghann hands me a plate of food. Robin laughs while KF pouts. "Do you all live here then?" I ask as I stand at the counter and eat. "Nah we just wanted to stay here and get to know you a bit. KF and I live at home with our parents, Aqualad goes back to Atlantis occasionally otherwise he's here. Super Boy and Megan are the only ones who live here full time." Robin was kind enough to explain. But as I keep eating, I feel his eyes still on me and scrunch my eyebrows. "Why are you staring at me?" I ask in confusion. 'Well, we kind of were wondering what your powers were."

I look down at my empty plate and shuffle nervously. M'ghann then jumps in "I'm curious to, because your room looks amazing!" the rest of the team looks at her in confusion. I sigh and put my plate in the sink before turning to the team. "I can manipulate water and crystalize it. As well as manipulate my bodies water to phase through items." I explain softly and look at my feet. "Dude that sounds awesome! Can we see? Please?" KF and Robin are giving me begging looks and I can see the others are interested as well.

"One demonstration. I don't like using my powers in front of others so no more after this." The duo nod their heads eagerly. I go and turn the water faucet on and let it run for a moment. Then I start to manipulate the water to form a sphere in my hands before crystallizing it, so it was solid. I then toss it over to KF who expertly caught it. "Awesome!" M'ghann, Robin, and KF looked like kids in a candy store. Super Boy was indifferent and Aqualad gave me a smile. "That was very impressive. Why don't you like using them?"

I freeze as everyone looks at me. "I-I'm a little tired, if you'll excuse me. Thanks for the food." Before they can answer I quickly exit the kitchen and make my way back to my room
