Jeremy's pov
"Jere do you need me to bring your bag out to the car?" Michael asked from the doorway of the guest room.
"If you wouldnt mind, yeah. Thanks." I reply looking back over my shoulder. He walks back out to the living room while I finish making up the bed with clean sheets.
I bend down to grab the pillows and place them back up. I arrange the throw pillows to look cute. A few finishing touches to the room, before I turn the light off and go to the kitchen.
My dad sits at his table reading the newspaper and drinking his black coffee.
"Morning, Dad." I greet with a smile.
"Hey there sport. Michael tells me your heading out early?" He questions.
"Oh, yeah. We wanted to leave early because it's a long drive and we want to get back before dinner. And of course there will be traffic and stuff." I shrug opening up the fridge and grabbing two cans of coca cola for the drive. We can always stop by a gas station and pick up some snacks, so I decide to not take any of Dad's.
"Ah, I see. Well it was nice to have you over for the past couple of days. Gets a little lonely around here usually."
"Yeah. I wish we could stay more, but work starts back up tommorow, so."
"Hows that going by the way? Are you enjoying it?" He asks again.
"Oh yea, I like it a lot."
"Video game development you say it was? Seems just right for you." He chuckles taking another swig of coffee.
"Heh, yeah. It's pretty cool. Right now we're working on a cooking game. Not really very exiting to me, but I'm sure some ten year old will enjoy it someday." I laugh. "Michael is enjoying his new job as a chef at this local restaurant too. He makes lots of good dinners."
"That's good. I wish I could move out to New York with you two so I could see all of this happen, but I dont feel like it would be for me." He shrugs. Michael walks into the kitchen and places a hand on my shoulder and gently squeezes it as he talks.
"Ready to go?" He asks. I nod saying yes. We get our coats from the coat closet. Dad follows behind us, ready to say goodbye.
I zip up my sweater and make sure my phone and wallet are in my pockets, which they are.
"Bye Dad." I lazily say with a yawn. I lean forward to hug him, which I have to lean very far because I'm so tall. I'm used to it by now. I tug my shoes on while Michael gets a hug goodbye too.
Michael and I walk out into a nice dewy morning. The sun was halfway up setting a dim light. The red and orange, fading into blue sky was a pretty sight.
I settle into the passenger seat preparing for a long drive. "We'll stop by the gas station in about a half hour to get snacks and such." Michael comments to which I nod.

I yanked my left earbud out. "Michaaa, I'm bored. And I'm cramped. Can we stop somewhere?" I whine.
"Jeremy were in the middle of nowhere. Theres not another place in sight for about fifteen minutes, so were gonna have to wait a short while. "
"Hmm, fine. Can we at least stop by the side of the road to stretch?" I ask, trying to stretch my neck to crack it.
"Sure, that's a great idea, babe." He smiled. We slowed to a stop shortly after by a bunch of trees and grass. The weather has changed since this morning when we left. There were some clouds in the sky, but not many.
