After a bit of persuasion from Elsa to the guards of the dungeon, sending messages to the King of Arendelle, Hans's older brothers, etc., Hans and Elsa were able to make it out of the kingdom traveling horseback, and Hans was no longer known as a traitor and disgrace to the Southern Isles, but as a noble hero staying strong under false accusations. They made the journey back to the trolls where they returned their captive, and soon were on their way back to Arendelle.
"I should have asked this before I agreed to come with you, but what's the plan?" asked Hans.
"I don't really have one. I always go by what I think is right, and my heart is telling me that I should show Arendelle you are not a bad prince, and Anna deserves to know too." Elsa said calmly.
"Well, what about that ice guy?"
"Kristoff." Elsa corrected. "I've seen him and Anna. They seem so much like friends. You and Anna, you two had something special."
"We did?" Hans was very surprised to hear the queen was on his side.
"Yes. We are almost to the castle. Follow me!" She urged her horse into a jog, speeding towards the gates. People from watch towers yelled at each other to open the gates. "Queen Elsa is back! Let her in!"
She accompanied Hans inside the castle, where she gave him some water and a created a small bit of snowflakes in her room to cool it down. "I think we will start with the citizens of Arendelle. I want you, however, to tell Anna personally when I tell them from my balcony tomorrow at noon. Understood?" Elsa asked. Hans nodded in agreement.
"What if... She doesn't, take me back?" Hans wondered out loud, his eyebrows crinkling.
"You've just gotta go with whatever makes her happy." Elsa said, a small smile appearing on her face. She then stopped herself and cleared her throat, back to normal. "Meet me back her tomorrow before the sun is at it's highest point in the sky." She said, and he was sent off to one of the guest rooms for the night.
