Waking up I noticed I was still in zori room with the tv playing on low and her laying on my chest. For some reason she likes listening to my heartbeat but whatever makes her happy then it's cool with me.

I slowly got out the bed not trying to wake up zori, and grabbed my phone. I went it to the bathroom and closed the door. Scrolling through all my contacts I pressed my moms and waited till she picked up.

"Hi my love" her sweet voice came through

"Hey ma" I whispered

"What's wrong why you whispering..BOY IN THE NAME OF THE LORD CHRISTOPHER MAURICE BROWN YOU BETTER NOT BE ON A RUN CAUSE IMMA LEAVE YO ASS OUT THERE " she yelled

"No ma..I'm at somebody house and she sleep right now"

"SHE...she better not be crazy or a hoe I'll tell you that" she scoffed

"No ma she not like tha-"

"That's what you said for the last 8"

"Look not the point..umm yesterday after I left your house I was on my way to school but she called me crying telling me to come to her house when I got there she was on the floor crying and she was beat up and like bad...and when I went to scratch my head and she flinched thinking I was gonna hit her..so I know it was a boy ma..a boy fuckin hit her and I wasn't even at school to make sure she's good" I paced around the bathroom clenching my jaw

"Ok..Chris calm down bring her by I'll fix her up and make sure she ok"she calmed me down a little

"Alright well come once she wakes up..love you" I told her

"Love you too" she hung up

I sighed rubbing my hand down my face walking around in circles.

"You ok" a soft voice said from behind me

I looked down to see zori looking up at me playing with her nails. She still looked pretty bad but it got better since yesterday.

I really couldn't do but smile. I hugged her, then picked her up spinning around as she grabbed onto me.

"Chrissssss" she squealed laughing

I stopped and put her back down.

"Why you breathing so hard" I asked her

"I'm fat and haven't been to the gym in a while..shiiii" she put her hand on her hip and tried catching her breath "my face hurt and I look hideous" she said looking in the mirror

I sighed and wrapped my arms around her shoulders putting my head on top of hers looking at her though the mirror.

"Yeah..we gonna go to my mom cause she's a nurse so she can help you and don't worry you always look hideous" I laughed and she pushed me off

"Nigga get off me get out my house" she pushed past me

I tackled her on the bed "ahhh get off me ugly" she yelled

"I mean you the ugly one right now" I held in my laugh as she stared at me

She started laughing "get off me yo"

I got off her and pulled her up "so I be back to come and get you then we can head over my moms ight" I asked and she shook her head

"Mhm girl..he said he was bringing her over..she a hoe I feel it cause that's all he bring home..but imma fix up this girl face" I said talking to my friend over the phone sipping my tea
