"Damn today is the day that's going to make or break me" I said to myself in the mirror

I was so excited not even nervous. Pacing around the bathroom I couldn't wipe the smile off my face.

"Oh shit" I said remembering I didn't even tell my mom about this

Going to her contact I clicked on it and and waited for her to answer

"Hello" her voice came through

"Ma I'm so happy right now" I smiled like she could actually see me

"Why..what's happening" she said with confusion in her voice

"Ma zori uncle is usher and he invited us to a party he's having and we going preform for everybody..and knowing it's usher it's going to be a lot of celebrities and cameras there..I don't even know I'm just so grateful..if zori would've never helped me that day I wouldn't even be in this position I am..I would've probably gave up" I said shaking my head

She screamed into the phone. I pulled it away until she stopped, she soon then started to cry

"Chris I'm so proud of y'all" her voice cracking "how about I meet y'all at zori house and I can help y'all get ready now..send me the address "

"Ok ma love you"

"I love you too son so much" she hung up

I went down to zori contact and it rung but she never answered. I called again and on the last ring she answered.

"Yes Chris" it sounded like she was still sleep

"Girl I know you still not sleep..it's 11:20 wake up" I walked back out my bathroom

The side of her line went quiet "ZORI" I yelled into the phone

"HUH" she struggled to stay up

"Wake up I'm coming over along with my mom..ight"

"Mhm" she hummed

"What did I just say" I questioned

She went quiet again "oh my fuckin gosh" I hung up

Pulling into zori drive way my mom was already there knocking at her door and ringing the bell.

Getting out my car I closed the door making my mom look back at me. I walked up to the door pulling out the keys to her house.

"Hey momma" I hugged her putting the keys in the door

"Hey son..when you get a key to her house" she questioned hugging me back

"I been had it" I opened the door to a pitch black house "I knew she was still sleep"

Putting the keys on the key rack I turned on the light.

"Woah her house nice" my mom said memorized

"Yeah it's dope..come on" I walked up stairs with my mom right on my tail

"Maybe we should give her privacy" I suggest as Chris walked down the hallway to her room

"Nah she's be ight" he opened her door

It was very big and dark. Chris turned on her led lights and switched the color to white. I laughed at the sight of her sleeping position. She was literally sleep upside down with her arm hanging off the bed and her phone in her hand. Her hair was everywhere and blanket was covering her face.

"Everytime" Chris sighed and takin off his shoes

I furrowed my eyebrows looking at him. He got on top of her he leaned down to side of her face. She started moving around then held her arms up. Chris picked her up and got out the bed.
