MISSION 34 (Lastation: A Flower Seed in a Carnage)

Chloe's POV

Chloe: "...Scared out of her pants huh..."

Rappel: "H-Hey! Lemme go! Hier needs me! She needs my help!"

Chloe: "Sorry little buddy, but if I send you back down there, she'd probably shoot you on sight."

Rappel: "What!? Why would she-"

BANG!

Rappel: "huh?"

...While watching Hier from the roof of the nearby houses, she suddenly shot the asphalt road in front of her, to which Rappel found very very strange.

Chloe: "There she goes..."

Rappel: "What's happening to her?"

Chloe: "This world is overrun by a certain type of creature, not extradimensionals or EMUs as you call them. But something else... Let's call them simply as aliens."

Rappel: "Aliens?"

Chloe: "You know, Aliens, TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER. That kinda stuff."

...Chloe explains while acting out a cliched depiction of an alien.

Rappel: "What does that have to do with Hier's situation?"

Chloe: "She's seeing the world differently right now... When she was changing herself to adapt to this world, she had to ensure that the "SPORES" you detected wouldn't harm her... But in truth... These spores went for the mind to which Hier prioritized enduced by the pain causing "spores"..."

Rappel: "So you're saying... Hier has gone mad?"

Chloe: "In a way... yes... I've watched over this world for a while now... Probably one of the things that I should have medled in to be honest... But as a Duality Knight I had to stay neutral."

Rappel: "What happened to this world...?"

Chloe: "Getting curious huh... well... It all started when a being from another dimension appeared... Its form so hideous and beyond comprehension that when most humans look at it, they go mad and insane..."

...Chloe continued to explain to Rappel as to what happened to this world... About the love that bloomed between a human being and an amorphous creature from another realm... And the tragedy that befell the world because of this...

Hier's POV

...Muscles writhing in unsettling motions, veins expanding as if blood is flowing through them, towering tendrils that enduces nightmare in this dark world with a black sky... Where am I? What happened to me? Why am I here?

...I try to gather my thoughts but everytime I blink my eyes portray a disgusting, pungent world where everywhere I look is tainted and riddled with what seems to be blood and human organs, intestines are found scattered in the vicinity...

Hier: "!?"

BANG!!!

...I stepped on something and it wriggled like a worm, it looked like it even had a mouth and by reflex I pulled my pistol out and fired at it...

Hier: "Ahhh!"

...I pulled the trigger and something came out from the pistol... only... I wasn't holding a pistol, or was I? I don't know anymore, regardless, it fired a shot at the thing I stepped on and it caused an explosion which caused juices from the ground to splatter... in panic I quickly move away from the spot... only to see something on the ground that I just shot...
