My next stop; Seeing Kai.

Anyone would probably be wondering, why I'm here walking my way to the one who backstabbed the woman my heart longed to have. And no, it isn't revenge that ran in my veins whenever I saw Lisa's big brown eyes. It was a feeling that was beyond me, and only love could specify that.

I hold my purse close, but keep my eyes roaming closer to the tall man who was patiently waiting for me. As soon as he looked up, his eyes were full of excitement, but then the mood switches just as fast, once he looks away for a split second.

'Such a disappointment'. I think to myself and sit down, aimlessly avoiding his eyes and staring ahead, and I can only wonder why he chose to meet me at the beach. This man right here would usually pick fancy restaurants - bars and even meet me at the club. But, he was left with this heavy silence that confused me.

"So this is it?". Kai rasped once I sat down and smoothed my creamy dress that reaches below my knees.

"Kai—". I tried to speak but he shrugged his head, "This is it Ruby? You're just going to leave me, to be with her. What about us—". I was the one to stop him this time, "There was never an 'us'!".

"And you know it, Kai". I hissed, and it only left him sighing. "We both agreed to have these affairs, PR shit just so the news and the media, can make headlines about you and your company".

"And that's all we agreed to have between us".

"Why her?". The same question that Lisa once asked me when I chose this man; when I chose to go through the battles of letting my guard down. And yet, Lisa was the one to break the shimmered glass that was cast upon my heart.

Not him.

"Why did you break her trust, Kai?". I switched the topic and embraced the waves that were eavesdropping on the conversation. "What could break such a strong bond between two best friends?".

"Jennie I—". I shrugged my head, "Answer me Kai, and don't avoid the topic. You know that avoiding talking about it, can only make it worse for you".

"For my situation?". Kai chuckled and I rolled my eyes, wanting to smack the back of his head. But, he only took a deep breath and gave in. "I'm not going to say I'm not innocent of doing such a thing".

"But, I don't know what happened at that time".

"Bambam, Lisa, and I were at our finest days. We would party a lot, and talk about nonsense and it felt like they were my world..". For the first time- I can hear the sincerity in his voice.

"Until she met Joy". He admitted.

"That girl blinded Lisa from us. She thought that Joy was the perfect match for her; a brunette who had the prettiest smile and the sweetest mouth. But, I knew better than this. Joy had a better plan..".

"Which is?". I asked.

"To break us apart". He bitterly avoided the chase of the wind- the tip of his tongue ran in the most deprivable way to show his anger. "Joy came over to my house that night, and told me that Lisa told her to wait at my house. Which is true, Lisa told me she would come over and I let her.. in".
