Celeste was staring at the sky, with a soft smile on her face. Summer has been eventful for her. Her parents were inside the house helping Mrs. Scamander.
Her thoughts were interrupted by something stroking her cheek by its beak. Hippogriffs in the backyard of the Scamander cottage came to love the attention showered by Celeste.
"Hey Beaky. How are you today?" Celeste asked softly as she stroked the beak of the hippogriff.
The hippogriff settled beside her and placed his head in the lap of Celeste. He let out a small call, before letting Celeste pet his head.
"Someone seems to adore you very much." A voice spoke up before the person sitting beside her.
"I am going to miss her." Celeste said as she stroked the feather on Hippogriff's head. "She will miss you too." Newt offered as he stared at the hippogriff by the fence.
"I am so ready for this year." Celeste said, grinning from ear to ear and looked at Newt, who chuckled a bit.
"Yeah, you are now captain of your quidditch team. I am so proud of you." Newt said to Celeste, looking into the far distance.
"Children, dinner is ready! Come fast!" Mrs. Scamander called out for Newt and Celeste from the kitchen.
The hippogriff, who was laying his head in Celeste's lap, removed his head from her lap and with a last look walked towards his mate.
Newt stood up and offered his hand to Celeste. She took it with a smile and stood up and dusted off her skirt before both of them walked into the house for food.
And hours later, it was time for Celeste to board the train and head off for Hogwarts.
"Take care of yourself, and please, lessen your pranks on students. Please." Sefanie Fischer begged her daughter to stay out of trouble, which only made her daughter laugh.
"I will try my best, but no promises." Celeste said, winking at her mother. A whistle sounded on the platform, making people know that the train was about to depart.
"I will see you during Christmas. Take care!!" Celeste exclaimed as she boarded the train and waved at her parents.
She walked towards the compartment where her friends were seated. Newt was off to meet Leta.
"So how was the trip to France Helena?" Celeste asked as she produced a flock of birds in the compartment.
"It would have been amazing, if my mother didn't start to insult muggleborns and muggles. I had an argument with her, and thus got grounded for my entire trip." Helena answered with disdain evident in her voice.
"Still pro pureblood?" Paul asked from where he was sitting, his brow raised at the brunette.
"My mom is a Black. What do you suppose she would be?" Helena remarked, rolling her eyes at her friend.
"What about you Paulie? How was your staycation?" Celeste asked, desperately changing the subject.
"Absolutely amazing. I cleaned my room infinite times." Paul said, sarcasm heavily dripping in his voice, making Celeste laugh loudly.
"What about you? How was your summer?" Helena asked, eyebrows raised suggestively.
"Mine was absolutely amazing. I got to meet Hippogriffs. They are such amazing creatures." Celeste said, happiness glittering in her eyes.
"You met what?!" Paul exclaimed, blinking his eyes hard, and his jaw on the floor.
"Newt's mum breeds hippogriffs. They are such prideful creatures. I had an amazing time." Celeste said, laughing at the reaction Paul gave.
