Time was like sand slips from your hand, and you can't stop it.
Celeste was doing her rounds with the head girl past the curfew to make sure no student was out of the bed, and gladly none were out. Or that's what Celeste thought.
After parting from the head girl, Celeste hummed to herself and skipped her way towards her dorm, until she came face to face with a familiar person.
"Newt, what are you doing out, that too after curfew? You know you can get in trouble." Celeste asked, her eyes wide and she looked around for the sign of any Professor, but gladly there were none.
"I was looking for Leta. She is in trouble." Newt said, breathing heavily. "In trouble? How?" Celeste asked in urgent whisper as she dragged Newt into a dark corner.
"Her experiment..she kind of turned it into a disaster." Newt admitted, handing her a small chit to her.
"Merlin's beard. Where is she now?" Celeste asked, urgency in her voice.
"Celeste, please let me handle this. If this is what I think it is, you will be in danger." Newt said, shaking his head.
"Do you think I care? Newt, Leta can be expelled if a professor finds her. Where in the world is she?" Celeste pressed more, getting the victory as Newt heaved a sigh.
Newt led her to the secluded place where Leta and the duo hung out when they needed a moment away from Hogwarts.
Celeste loved the company of her friends, but sometimes it would get overwhelming for her.
As soon as they neared the place, they heard an angry growl. Leta appeared beside them.
"I tried to subdue it, but I was simply unable to do so." Leta said as an angry javery appeared and growled at them.
"What did you do with it, Leta?" Celeste asked, horrified by the Green Javery infront of her.
"I-I experimented with it. I...I know it's against the nature of creatures, but I wanted to do this." Leta said, her hands trembling.
"Merlin's beard Leta, you do know that you can get expelled for this? Good thing that Newt ran into me. I can help you." Irene said as she stared at the angry javery.
There were two pairs of sighs. "Thank you so much." Leta murmured slowly, and looked at the javery who was glaring at Celeste.
Celeste removed her wand from her wand pocket and raised to shoot a sleeping spell but it was too late.
Javery lunged at Celeste, making her trip over the staircase, sending her tumbling down the stone stairs, hitting her head on the edge in the process. She let out a scream.
Blood started to ooze out of the wound. She whimpered on the ground, unable to move her right arm. Her wand fell two feets away from her.
"Celeste, oh my god. I am so sorry." Newt said frantically as he rushed to her side, the angry javery forgotten.
"It-its alright. It's just a wound." Celeste hissed as she tried to sit.
"Your arm is broken Celeste! It's not just a wound!" Newt exclaimed as he helped the fallen girl.
"Alright, then maybe addition to it is my broken arm. Where is that ruddy javery?" Celeste hissed as her left palm pressed her wound on the head which was extremely bloody, and made her dizzy.
"That has been taken care of." A new voice spoke up, it was extremely familiar to Celeste. But her focus no longer was on her surroundings, black dots started to flash across her vision.
Her eyes rolled back in her skull as the dizziness grew more, and her body went limp in Newt's arm.
"Professor, do something!" Newt exclaimed as he tried to stop the blood.
