This chapter continues where last chapter left off, it's the same day.

This chapter switches P.O.V. a couple times, but I think it's obvious enough ;)

Colson's mind had been so occupied with worries about Alexis, that he had almost forgotten about his own important meeting. The meeting with his manager that he was dreading. He hadn't told Alexis the real reason why he had come back home from L.A., he didn't think she could handle the truth.

He had thought that once they had gotten reacquainted, he could tell her. But then the bomb dropped; the fact he had a daughter he knew nothing about. He couldn't tell Alexis the truth now or she wouldn't let him around his daughter, or at least that's what he expected her to say.

Colson wasn't one to get nervous, he had always been a tough guy, but he couldn't deny the clammy hands that he had to run down his trousers in order to dry them a bit. He was tapping his feet nervously on the ground, waiting for his manager to show up.

Jack Wilson, Colson's manager, walked in with a stern look on his face. The two greeted and Jack sat down opposite of Colson. Jack was a guy in his mid-forties, fairly build, grey hairs on the side of his dark brown haired head.

''How are you, Colson?''

''I'm alright. Had a lot to deal with these past weeks, but I would say I'm doing pretty well.'' Colson had told himself to not show the man too much emotion. Emotion was weakness. Also he didn't want his manager to make irrational decisions that could fuck up everything.

''I get that, how is it knowing you had a daughter that you knew nothing about?''

Hearing it again, stung. Badly. He still wasn't over the fact that he hadn't known and that he missed so many moments. He literally missed years of his baby girl's life. While he was out performing, sleeping around, taking drugs and partying non-stop, his ex-girlfriend was raising their daughter without him knowing.

''It's okay, at least, it's okay now. It was the best and the worst thing finding out about my daughter. The best, because Lily is absolutely amazing. The worst, because I missed a lot.''

''Hmm, yeah I get that. And how is the problem?''

Colson coughed in his hand and took a deep breath, before looking up at his manager. ''It's good. Getting better, I think.''

''You think?''

''No, I know. I am getting better, I swear.''

''You better be, don't want me to send your ass to rehab, do you now?'' Jack's voice was stern, his face crunched up making the wrinkles in his face even more visible.

''No sir.''

''Good, then get back to work and prove me wrong.''

''I will sir.''

If only it were that simple.

''Oh, and I also got you some company...'' Jack said with a grimace, making Colson frown. If Jack wasn't smiling, he was sure he wouldn't like it either. Jack waved to someone behind Colson, making him turn around to the opening door.

''Hi baby!''

It was his ex-girlfriend, Camila.

This can't be good.

Meanwhile Alexis was at home, stressed about tonight's dinner. She knew she would have to eat, there would be too many people watching her. It just meant that she couldn't really eat anything else today, even if her stomach was begging for it.
