Y/N's POV:

January 23, 2017

"Y/N!!!!!!" Mom was yelling at the top of her lungs for me to come downstairs. Man, did she really have to scream that loud? "Coming!" I called back, and rushed down the stairs. "Sit down and have your breakfast," She ordered, and literally threw a fork at me for my eggs. "Didn't have to throw it," I mumbled, and stabbed my fork through the eggs. "So, one more day and then you get to meet Nica!" Mom enthusiastically sat down across from me. "I know," I depressingly are my food in silence, and mom senses there was something wrong. "Is everything ok, Y/N?" I just shrugged, and played with my remaining pancake that was in my white plate. "Y/N, I'm your mother. I can tell when something's wrong," She reasoned with me, and I sighed. "I'm just nervous. There are so many crazy people in that asylum!" I quietly gossiped, and mom giggled, wiping the pieces of egg off her face with a napkin. "It'll be fine. I assure you." I just nodded. And that was when we heard a knock on the door. I looked at the door, then nervously back at mom. "I'll get that. Stay here." I watched as mom opened the door, and no one was there. Just a package. "Sweetie, I think this is for you. It's from a lady named Tiffany Valentine." My eyes widened. Tiffany gave me a package? What was inside? "Ok, mom. Bring it it to the table, and I'll open it." Mom nodded, and set the package down on the table in front of both of us.

I slowly ripped the tape off the top, and opened the box. In there, was a doll. It looked horrifying. It had scars all over its face, with stitches, one of its eyes was almost all purple, and he had red hair and blue eyes, with overalls, I think? "That's creepy," I whispered, and mom looked at me with an unsettled look. "As far as I'm concerned you can throw that thing out." Mom just got up, and left the room. "Wait, mom!" She turned to look at me. "What if....I bring this with me. To Nica. I'll hang on to it, and we'll see what happens. Please, mom. I mean, what harm can a scarred face doll do?" Mom sighed, and obliged. "Ok, fine. I'm sure there are other dolls out there like him, just keep it away from other people," She gawked, and I smiled at her. "Ok." Mom left the room, and went upstairs. I looked to the doll. "You are a creepy little thing, aren't ya?" I teased, but hugged it anyways. Yeah, this doll scares me, but I'll take it with me to Nica. I mean, Nica wouldn't mind a doll, right? I set the doll on the table and got out the note from inside the package. It read:

The doll's name is Chucky. Make sure you take good care of him, he's a good guy doll. But, just be careful. He's your friend 'til the end.
- Tiffany Valentine

I was overly confused by Tiffany's choice of words, but I decided to leave it for now. I set the doll back into the package and shoved the note into my back pocket. I sighed. Tiffany gave me her number yesterday, maybe I could call her and thank her for the gift. I grabbed my mother's phone and dialled her number. "No." I slammed the phone back on the table. "Mom!" I called, and she instantly replied. "What?" I grabbed my jacket and shoes. "I'm going to go for a walk. I'll be back." She just flipped me off, I just rolled my eyes and left.

I was still walking after two hours, the sun blazing hot. I shouldn't have brought a jacket. However, from afar, I saw my friend, F/N. "Y/N!" She excitedly yelled, and I waved at her, smiling. She ran up to me, and gave me a hug. I saw F/N's dad behind her. "Hey, Y/N." He said, I smiled. "Hi, David." He went beside F/N, and asked, "How's 6th Grade going for you? It's not too hard is it?" I was caught off guard by this question, it was the reason I skipped school; it was too hard. "Uh, yeah it's going good." David nodded, and turned to F/N. "Well, we must be going. We'll see you later, Y/N!" I just smiled, and off they were. I turned around to go back, but bumped into someone. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" I kept apologizing, until I realized who it was. "Tiffany?!" Tiffany smiled at me, then chuckled. "Yeah, it's me, silly." I nodded, and then remembered the Chucky doll. "Hey, thank you for Chucky." Tiffany tilted her head, and smirked. "Well, don't thank me too soon." I gave her a confused look, and fiddled with my fingers. "Tiffany, when you gave me that note, you told me to be careful and that Chucky is my friend 'til the end. What did you mean by that?" Tiffany hummed in satisfaction, and knelt down to my level. "You'll find out soon enough." She laughed, it almost  sounded evil. She then left me, frozen in place. What could she possibly mean? I shook my head, and started to walk home.

As soon as I got in my house, I put my jacket away and threw my shoes off. "Mom, I'm home!" I called, no reply. "Mom?" I called, and started searching the house. The kitchen, the living room, the dining room, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the backyard, everywhere. She was no where to be found, though. And her car was here, so clearly she hadn't left anywhere. Where'd she go? I then realized there was one place I hadn't checked. The basement. I quietly made my way down there, and turned on the light. "Mom, are you in here?" Still nothing. I slowly made my way down the hallway and into the computer room. I gasped and covers my mouth in fear. Yeah, mom was there, but she was dead. I started to cry. Blood was everywhere, it really stunk, and one of mom's legs was missing. There was a chainsaw on the right side of her. What happened?! I quickly went upstairs, and into the kitchen. The doors and windows were locked when I came here, so no one was able to break in. Who could've done  it? Mom wasn't depressed, so I doubt she did it herself. I went back to the kitchen, where Chucky was. He was still in the box, but something was different about him. He still looked the same, with all the scars and stuff, but there was a bit of blood on his overalls. Wait....Chucky couldn't have done this,

Could he?
