"It's finished" the woman said, applying the finishing requirements to their experiment.
"What do we do with him?" the third one said.
"Let's X-ray his brain" Doctor Cleve said.
They removed Jackson from the cylinder and plucked out all the tubes.
They put him in a stretcher, and pushed him outside.
Keith knew he had to follow, but before he reached the door he grabbed a flask from the rack on the table and took drops of what's left of the Nevermeltice that came from the tubes.
Once in the Radiology room, the woman draped a gown over his body, and placed an image receptor over his head.
Cleve lowered the X-ray over the boy's head, and the three of them stepped behind the protective barrier.
Keith was smart enough to stay behind the door, the flask tight in his hand.
Whatever this thing is, it was ultra cold, it can burn someone.
The image of the brain appeared.
Keith thought it was normal, until he saw what looked like frost patterns across the guy's brain.
"What d'you think?" Cleve said to his fellow scientists with much enthusiasm.
"It's perfect doctor" the woman answered.
Why would they ffreeze someone's brain? Keith thought.
He looked at the flask. The liquid glew icy blew, and by the look of it. It wasn't suppose to be used on humans.
Why did his father approve of this?
Jack opened his eyes, the image receptor was blocking his view. But he made no effort in removing it. Keith was sure he was confused on how he got here. Staying calm Jack recalled his thoughts.
Jack sat up, and removed the image receptor. The scientists made no movements from inside the barrier as if they didn't notice that their specimen was already awake.
Keith had a clear view. He had intense icy blue eyes like the one in his flask. His eyes were dazed and fogged.
Jack eased himself off the table. He looked over his body and stared with curiosity at the barcode snowflake in his arm.
The air was still, and fear took over Jack's curiosity.
He walked towards the barrier. The three scientists was busy looking at the computer, studying the brain.
From what Keith saw, Jack wasn't sure where he was.
Jack surveyed the room, and spotted a mirror. He looked at his reflection.
Jack's eyes widened. He knew that he'd changed.
He ran his hands through his icy blue hair, and from his expression, it wasn't supposed to be.
Fear crept in inside of Keith.
Curiosity died within Jack, it was replaced by something else...
Jack walked back to barrier. His face was fuming with rage, his nostrils flared, his brows furrowed, and Keith could've swore he saw frost form in Jack's palms, when he balled them.
"What have you done to me!?" Jack shouted.
The people inside the barrier jump. They turned around their faces panic-stricken.
"What have you done to me!?" Jack shouted, more forcefully, specs of frost appeared on his face.
"I suggest that you remain calm" Cleve said.
But Jack was enraged.
He screamed and frost covered the floor beneath him. The scientists looked at eachother, except for Cleve.
"Where's my sister?" Jack said.
"She's safe" Cleve said calmly, stepping out of the barrier "and we can take you to her if you just remain calm".
Keith saw Cleve shove his hand in his pocket and retrieved a pistol.
"Watch out!" Keith shouted and rammed Cleve from behind.
But the pistol didn't leave the doctor's hands.
Next thing Keith knew, the pistol was pointed at him.
"You son of a bitch!" Cleve barked.
"Wait till my father hears about this!" Keith shouted back.
Cleve laughed.
"Tell him then!" Cleve said "he'd be proud".
Cleve locked the. trigger, and was ready to pull.
Keith waited for it but as soon as Cleve was about to pull the trigger, he found a giant icicle buried in his back.
He looked at Keith, his mouth spluttered blood, the ice from his back burned like hot metal.
Keith backed up and watched as Cleve drop dead on the floor.
He glanced up and saw Jack, hand outstretched. His palms was smoking, and he too couldn't believe what he just did.
