The Dance of The Kokiri
🔺
🔺🔺Zelda explained everything to Birchum. He didn't know exactly what to think of it all, but he was atleast relieved that he knew where his children are.
"What now?" he asked.
"I'm not too certain. I guess if I were Link..."
Zelda stood in silence, as she contemplated to herself. Her hand cradled her chin.
"You know of The Kokiri right?" she asked.
Birchum nodded back towards her, the orange in his eyes sparkled.
"Of course. The children of the forest, of the late Deku Tree. Some are nice, but that Mido," said Birchum.
"Yes, I have met him once," said Zelda who let the memories course back
Link always said he was just troubled, he never meant to act the way he did. Mido had this air about him, like he was far suppior then others. Link says he also loved Saria, who had a soft spot for Link.
"And Saria..."
"Saria the sweet, yes. It's been awhile," said Birchum.
"Off into the realm of time, as the Forest Sage. Her duty now to be protecting the forest. Protecting the Kokiri, as her kind heart had always been intended to do."
"Thats what I have heard, actually..."Birchum held a hard wooden stump to his face. The stump of course being his rounded hand. "Maybe Saria will know something. How do we talk to her?"
"Maybe if I focus my Sheikan powers, I can channel her spirit. We must find the Forest Temple that carries her soul like a tomb. Only then can I possibly access her. I might be rusty though. It's been a long time since my training."
"So off to Kokiri forest then?"
"Sounds like the best idea to me."

🔺 🔺 🔺 🔺 🔺 🔺 🔺 🔺The two of them were greeted by a pair of smiling children in green tunics with wild blonde hair.
"Zelda, my has it been a while," said a girl Kokiri before giving the princess a hug. Her eyes landed on Zelda's belly. "Well, well, well. We will have to congratulate Link on a job well done. Wait, where is he anyways?"
Zelda's eyes faltered towards the ground, with a heavy sigh.
"The thing is..."Countless pairs of eyes stared back at Zelda, with awe stricken gazes.
"Well if it isn't the great ones, ball and chain," exclaimed a child-like voice dusted with condescension.
"And hello to you too, Mido," said Zelda.
"So where is Mr.Hero. The hero who hath taken Saria from us all," he said with a snarky tone.
"Termina, apparently. Ganon is back. He has sent Link on a wild goose chase to defeat a skullkid in a mask."
Hushed whispers fell over the Kokiri children. They started to run around wildly.
"NO LINK..."
"GANON'S BACK..."
"WHAT ARE WE TO DO!!!"
The children of the forests nerves, made Zeldas even stronger, but she took a deep breath.
"Everyone, it's going to be O.K!" shouted Zelda. "I am a Sheik, and I can fix this. We are going to need your help. We need access to the Forest Temple, to talk to Saria. Either that, or we need help to find a hidden temple."
All eyes fell on Mido.
"And why should I help." He said as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"The fate of our existence." Birchum spoke up.
The Kokiri's now eyed the Deku Scrub. And nodded their heads, as they cast their gazes back on Mido.
"Stop being so boastful Mido, we know the Deku Tree came to you in a dream when Link defeated Queen Ghoma. You always kept it a secret, but couldn't help but mention you knew his to access the Temple of the Wilds."
Mido made a pout. "As if, as if that's what he meant. He told me that since it's hidden, I will most likely not ever need to open the portal."
"Well," a Kokiri girl with matted red locks squeeked. "I think it's about time we needed that portal."
"Very well then, follow me," Milo grumbled.
Everyone followed Mido, as he walked towards the dead, but not decaying Deku tree. He started to dig a hole behind the tree. The trees large roots spread far and Mido carefully dug around them creating a tunnel surrounded by roots. He then climbed back up, his face hands and clothes covered in rich soil.
"Kokiri's, now it's your turn," he shouted. "Remember the old dance. The one the fairies have showed us while Deku Tree was still alive."
"The sacred Dance of the Wild's!" Exclaimed a Kokirian.
"Yes, now step here," said Mido as he walked to a patch of grass and honeymoon suckle. "Form a circle."
The Children listened and did as they were told.
They waved thier hands down, took a bow, spinned, and as they spinned they waved their hands back upwards. They then clapped, jumped up, and clapped again. The same movements followed, as they started to hum the song that played in the Lost Woods. The hums got louder, and the ground started to tremble. Zelda could now see the tunnel that Mido made slowly open. A bright green light started to form. From a small orb, to a larger one filling the hole. The Kokiri's thumped on the ground, and the light flashed.
"Well... what are you waiting for," said Mido. He was smiling, not something he often did. "Enter the portal, I know you can do this."
Zelda climbed down the hole, and walked towards the bright light. Birchum stalked behind her. She felt a tingling sensation, as the green light grazed her skin. Everything around grew dark, then bright green once again. Then she was standing inside a temple with roots all around the hard stone walls.
