Baby Maggie

Officially Parents

"Zoe," Alfie looks at the doctor unsurely, "I want to introduce you to someone."

"Ok, I love meeting new people." She smiles brightly. He nods.

Alfie goes and takes Maggie from a nurse, then he walks back into the room.

"Zoe, this is Maggie."

"M-Maggie?" Zoe stutters. 

"Yes, this is your daughter." Alfie says softly. Zoe reaches out for the baby, Alfie gives Zoe the sleeping girl and a memory flashes through her mind. 

"Alfie! Alfie! Alfie!" 

"What? What's wrong? Are you hurt?"

"Alfie, I-I'm pregnant!" 

"I remember tell-telling you." 

"You do?" Alfie says hopefully. Zoe shushes him as memories come back. 

"It's just morning sickness Alf, I'm fine." 

"Are you sure, babe?"

"Yes, get me my toothbrush."

"Mrs. Deyes?" the Doctor says softly. 

"Yes?" She asks quietly, looking at the baby in her arms, trying so hard to remember this little thing being in her for nine months. She tries remembering telling her family, her friends, her fans. 

Holy crap, she thinks, what about the fans? 

"How much do you remember?" She snaps back to reality. 

"Not much." 

"This is good, I will need to run a few more tests, but I think that you will be fine, in time all of your memories will come back. Please try to stay away from large crowds or stressful situations."

"So then the doctor told us that I would be okay!" Zoe says happily, "Okay, it's time to meet her, and Alfie has been absolutely dying to post pictures on Instagram. Alfie bring me Maggie." Alfie walks in frame with a bundle in his arms. He hands it to Zoe. 

She moves back one corner of the blankets to reveal Maggie. Maggie is sleeping. 

"Well there you have it, this is Maggie. Alfie and I are officially parents."
