Catherina bit her lip from where she was watching on the bench, smiling at how proud she was of getting Andre to treat her normal.
Andre nodded his head, the blank stare still on his face, "Of course, your maj- I, uh, Rayna."
Rayna smiled, it came out very reluctantly but with time, she was sure he would be calling her Rayna.
PART 2
The day went on without a hitch; by the end of the day Andre just called her Rayna without almost saying your highness or your majesty in between. Both Rayna and Jewel were very sore by the end of the day.
Catherina ran them a hot bath to have so that they could relax their sore muscles. She helped both girls into their separate tubs, both wincing as they stepped in. "I know you are hurting, but the hot water will help tremendously in the morn, trust me."
The girls nodded and started washing the dirt off of them. Rayna yelped when the cloth she was using made contact with the blister on her foot. She squeezed her eyes shut holding it to her.
Catherina got up from her chair next Jewel and rushed to see what was wrong. "Oh no, my sweet, don't touch them. I will get the ointment to get rid of them. We will wrap your feet for you to sleep in."
Rayna nodded her head trying to stop herself from crying. Catherina went back to Jewel to help her wash her hair. Once she was done with her she told her to stay put and continue soaking and to not touch her feet. She noticed she had blusters as well. Catherina walked over to Rayna and helped her with her hair as well. "I am very proud of the two of you. You both gave your all to the training today. It's going to take a lot of hard work, but I know you two can do it."
Rayna and Jewel smiled at one another and thanked her for her praise. They continued discussing what they learned, and discussed when they would have witch training since they were going to be training all during the week.
"If you girls are feeling up to it, at the end of the day we can set an hour aside and go over your studies. And then on the weekends we will continue to practice casting your spells." Catherina concluded as she helped both girls into their nightgowns. She then wrapped both of their hairs in sheet towels so that they would not soak the bed. "Now come on, sit over here, I will apply the healing ointment onto your feet."
The girls walked carefully over to the bench in the room. Both wincing when they leaned a little to hard on their blisters.
Catherina felt nothing but sympathy for the two, remembering her own training and the blisters she received as well. Her grandmamma did the same for her, wrapping her feet in clothes of ointment to make them disappear the next day. She tried to push the thought of her sister out of her mind as she traveled down memory lane. She still had not told Rayna the news she had received from Kalevi. In the woods not too far from here there was a woman found burnt to death, unrecognizable. The only thing that they could like this woman to the queen, was would looked like the remains of a necklace...the moon necklace.
Catherina tried hard not to let the girls see her upset when she received the letter on Jewel's birthday. She had only just confided in Revon of the news while the girls were running. He was suspicious as well. Both his and Kalevi's thought lined up. She wasn't burned completely, so you could still make out marks on flesh, and so far there was no Occidere wounds. The only way magical creatures can be killed, besides of old age, is by Occidere weapons. There is only one dagger known to this day to still be around thanks to Gabriel's death. Though they were definitely around when ever the Wars were going on considering the large numbers of deaths among the pytho community and other magical creatures.
