there is no roasting ya/teen fiction on wattpad without pointing this out.
let me just say that i can't stand an "i'm not like the other girls" ass bitch. shit like that really pisses me off.
a LOT of teen fiction main characters are written this way. the girl will just be walking down the hallway and then will see a girl in a tube top and have an aneurysm.
she's always like "i'm not like other girls i don't wear makeup or revealing clothes, i don't go to parties, i don't get obsessed over boys or the bachelor or shopping" and it makes me want to punch her lights out every. time.
like bitch you're not better than other girls because you don't have your breasts out, or because you put no effort in your appearance, or because all you do is stay in on the weekends. bitch you're not special these are normal people things. A LOT of girls do these things bc guess what, girls aren't one dimensional entities who only enjoy "superficial" things. every person is different. not all girls like shopping. but a lot of girls do. and that's OKAY because girls should be allowed to like whatever they want without other girls putting them down for it. get off your high horse and let people enjoy things.
it's especially annoying that this is so prominent in teen fiction because it's teaching young girls to act this way, to put other girls down and make themselves seem better just for having different interests from them??? that shit is wack as fuck.
