One time during theater tech my friend ( who by the way is a freshman) asked me for a rubber band. At first my thought was, holyshit he's gonna make a crossbow. Because what else would you do with a rubber band. And of course I was right. So he made the crossbow with the pens and binder clips and snuck himself all the way to cat walk three where he shot it and it landed on the stage. It was one, terrifying that he had such a weapon and at probably the best angle where he'll be able to get practically everyone. And two, it was pretty impressive that it went that far because cat three is the furthest and highest you can be from the stage.
Thankfully he only had two things to shoot so our fear didn't last long. But things like this happen pretty often during tech so I'll probably share more stories really soon.
