I am out of the hospital finally and I can't go back to actually work. I'm only on desk duty.
When I woke up, Brian was already gone for work. I got up and walked in james bedroom and saw him still fast asleep in his crib.
I walked into the kitchen and started making myself tea. As I was making tea I heard my phone ding indicating I got a text. I picked up my phone and saw I got a text from my nanny calling in sick.
"You got to be kidding me" I whispered to myself. What am I going to do.. mom is at work and so is dad.. I'm gonna either have to drop james off at the fire station and pray dad will take care of him or I'm gonna have to call hank and ask for the day off.
I thought for a minute and decided to go with my second choice. I dialed hanks number.
"Voight" he answered.
"Hey hank." I replied
"Amy everything good?" He asked
"Not really. My nanny called in sick.. I called to see if I can get today off" I said
"Why call the day off? Your only on desk duty.. just bring the little one here. I'm sure no one would mind" hank said
"Are you sure?" I asked
"I'm positive.. see you two soon" hank said and before I could say anything else he hung up.
I smiled lightly and drank my tea.
"Mama" I heard james call me. I set my tea down and walked into the room and saw james standing up and holding onto the crib.
"Hey baby.. we're going to go see uncle hank today" I said and picked him up.
"Uncle hank!" He said excited. And I nodded.
I walked into the kitchen and set him down in his high chair and made him breakfast.

After james finished eating and we both got dressed we headed for the district.
Once we got there I got out of the car and went to the back door and opened it and saw james was asleep.
I looked at my watch and did notice it was his naptime. I slowly unbuckled him. I grabbed his diaper bag and put it around my shoulder, I than grabbed james and carried him inside.
I walked in and saw platt just finished yelling at someone. She rolled her eyes and then her eyes landed on me and she instantly smiled and you could see the look on the officers faces as they see that Platt has a favorite officer.
"Hey you" she said.
"Oh is he-" she added and I just nodded my head.
"Well when he wakes up send him down here" she said and smiled. I laughed lightly and walked over to the gate and placed my hand down.
"What are you looking at? Back to work" I heard Platt said and I laughed as the gate buzzed. I opened the gate and walked up the stairs.
Once I reached the top everyone eyes lit up as they saw me and James.
"Hey" Atwater said.
"Shh" I said and placed my finger over my mouth. Atwater covered his mouth.
"Hey" jay whispered as he walked over to me.
"How's the little man" rojas whispered
"He's good.. I'm gonna lay him in the the bunk room" I said and walked over to the bunk room and laid him down on the bed and placed his diaper bag next to him. I walked out but left the door open.
