I opened the door and helped Otis into the apartment and onto the couch.
"There you go" I said as I slowly helped him sit on the couch. I turned around and closed the apartment door and took off my coat.
"You need anything right now" I asked him.
"A.. I love you but you don't need to keep helping me, I can get around perfectly fine" Brian said and started to stand up but I pushed him back down.
"No.. the doctor said to take it easy for a while. So if you need me, call my name" I said and removed my hands from his shoulders.
"Amy I-" he started saying but cut himself off when I gave him a glare. He sighed and laid back into the couch.
"Fine" he said and crossed his arms. I smiled and kissed him gently.
I walked into the kitchen and grabbed two cups and poured some lemonade into it.
I than looked behind me and saw Brian not looking. I quickly smashed up his medicine and dumped it into the lemonade. Brian is refusing to take his medicine because he claims the pills "taste weird" so I had to get a little creative.
I stirred his lemonade and brought it out to him.
"Here you go B" I said and handed him the cup. I put my hands together and watched him drink the lemonade.
I smiled thinking my planned worked. He than scrunched his eye brows and looked at the cup and smacked his lips a couple times. He looked up at me.
"What's in this?" He asked me and put the cup down.
"Just uh regular lemonade.. why?" I asked him.
"It taste funny" he said. He looked at me suspiciously and then just shrugged, "maybe they added too much sugar into it" he said and laid back into the couch.
"Yeah" I said and walked away smiling my plan worked.

I woke up to hear laughter coming from the other side of the room. I looked to my side and saw Brian wasn't laying down next to me. I got up and trotted my way into the living room where I saw Brian and Cruz sitting together.
"Good morning sleeping beauty" Brian said.
"Good morning" I said and rubbed my eyes.
"Cruz, shouldn't you be getting ready for work" I asked making myself coffee. I had to get ready too.
I stood over the sink and took a sip of my coffee
"About that.. Amy your dad wants you to stop by his house. You slept through the first shift" Cruz said.
I spit my coffee into the sink, "what!" I yelled and looked over at clock in the kitchen.
"How.. I'm always up for work" I said surprised.
I walked over to the door and put my coat on not caring I was still in my pajamas.
"Cruz take care of brian for me please I'll be back" I said and headed out to go to my dads house.

I knocked on the door and patiently waited with my hands in my jacket pocket.
The door opened and I saw my dad, "Amy" he said and let me in. I saw mom watching tv and Terrence sitting next to her.
"A!" Terrence yelled and ran over to me.
"Hey little man" I laughed and picked him up.
"Hey mom" I added looking over at my mom.
"Hey honey, what brings you here" she asked.
"Just wanted to talk to dad real quick" I said and put Terrence down. She nodded and I walked into a different room with dad.
"You didn't make it to shift today" he said looking at me.
"I know dad and I'm sorry.. I don't know what happened, I must be overwhelmed about Brian and I just haven't been feeling normal lately" I said to my dad. He put his hands on my shoulder and looked at me.
"What do you feel" he asked me.
"I-I've been having stomach pain lately and feeling more tired than usual but I guarantee it's nothing dad, I'll be up and ready for shift tomorrow morning" I said.
"I just wanna swing by med and have a doctor take a quick look at you" he said.
"Dad no it's not necessary" I said but he pushed me towards the door.
"We will be back Donna" he said and pushed me out the front door to his car.
"Let's go" he said and I sighed and climbed into the passenger seat.
