Chapter Four: Breaking Storms, Farms, and an Arm.
"Tony! You're up! That's a relief."
"No, I'm not."
"Pretty sure you are, mate," Pietro grinned.
"I'm not your mate," Tony sat up, curious as to why he was in his bed, "Where's Banner?"
"He's after Alveus," Pietro frowned, "They all are. Didn't they tell you?"
"What? No!" Tony flipped the covers off, standing up, "Where are they now?"
"Woah, relax," Pietro lead Tony back to the bed, "Steve was supposed to tell you this morning, not sure how he missed that."
"No, no they can't go," Tony pushed Pietro off, "He's too strong; they have no chance. Well, maybe Thor does. And possibly Banner-,"
"Woah, hey, what are you saying?" Pietro stopped the man.
"I'm saying they're screwed!" Tony exclaimed.
"What about Clint? Does Alveus go after humans?" Pietro's voice laced with concern.
"Have you seen me?!" Tony raised his voice.
"Oh no, we've got to help them!"
"That's what I've been saying!" Tony huffed, feeling like he was talking to a wall.
"Oh, well, not you," Pietro paused, gently pushing Tony onto the bed, "I can't get in trouble, and you can't die. 'S not personal, right?"
"What? Rookie, I swear-,"
Pietro sped out of the room, locking Tony inside, "Sorry! I can't take another lecture! Don't worry, I'll take Wanda!"
"I swear to god! Get back here, Captain Skinny Dick!" Tony pounded his fist against the door. Faint yells could be heard, but he knew the twin was not going to let me out anytime soon, "You fucker!"

"Cap, I'm going to be honest with you on this one," Natasha grunted, pulling yet another creature to the floor, "We're outnumbered, and we haven't even caught a glimpse of Alveus."
"Come out, Coward!" Thor slammed Stormbreaker to the dirt, taking out about seven of the inhumans.
"No one's seen him?" Steve panted, holding his hand out to catch his shield.
"A little help-," Clint pulled an arrow out of one of his previous targets, "-Would be nice!"
"Oi!" Pietro pushed one of them off of Clint, effectively scaring the shit out of him.
"Yeah, uh, this is not what I meant," Clint eyed Pietro suspiciously, while he just stood and grinned.
"What are you doing here?" Steve brushed himself off while Wanda held off the inhumans.
"Tony sent us," Pietro lied casually, fighting beside Clint.
"Then where's Tony?" Natasha questioned.
Steve opened his mouth to speak, but all of their comms were cut off by a high screech.
"Can you hear me?!"
"Tony?" Steve furrowed his eyebrows, only to be tackled to the floor.
"There's a monster at the front door, and I'm locked in a room!" Tony raised his voice, "I need out. Now!"
"Oh. See, well, that's easy," Pietro scratched the back of his head, "You just need the key, but don't worry, I know exactly where it is."
"Where the hell is it then?!" Tony grew impatient.
"See, this is where it gets funny," Pietro forced a laugh, "It's right here."
"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Tony's breath increased, "T-They're here- I'm- I'm going to die!"
"You heard him, go speed your sorry ass over there!" Steve yelled.
"There's no time, dammit!" Tony grabbed his hair, looking at the security cameras through Jarvis. He didn't need to see the face of the cloaked figure to know it was Alveus.
"Jarvis, what's my best plan?" Tony threw the comm from his ear, and quickly turned from the camera.
"Your heart rate is slowed by 7%, your temperature is raising from 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I suggest concealment."
"Okay," Tony took a deep breath, glancing around his room. He grabbed the lighter off of his desk before running into the bathroom.
Knocking over several bottles, Tony searched until he found the hydrogen peroxide. He carefully poured the bottle into his toothbrush holder, before the pouring in a bottle of acetone.
He could hear the slamming of doors, as well as footsteps scatter outside his door. A loud 'bang' disturbed the peace in his room. More footsteps approached his locked door, and he took the time to stand in the space between his bathroom door and the wall.
He squeezed his eyes shut, praying to a god that he didn't believe.
BOOM!
The door cracked beneath the pressure, and he could hear the indecipherable gibberish from his hiding spot. The noise came again, before the door fell completely.
Peeking one eye open, Tony's eyes landed upon Alveus and his two lap dogs. They all stood in the doorway for a moment, scanning the room. They skimmed the room, but one of the inhumans stared at the dresser and Tony could've sworn that the he could smell his fear.
"Well, is he here?" Alveus grew impatient.
A mixture of grunts and odd noises effectively screwed Tony over, because he found them all looking in his direction.
"Tony! You miss me?"
Tony licked his lips, biting his already damaged skin. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he hastily added the small container of substance into the toothbrush holder.
"Come on now," Alveus stalked over, "I know you're here, and you're not leaving without me."
Tony lit the match and waited patiently.
"Really? You know what happens when we do this your way," Alveus sighed, causing Tony to grit his teeth, "And you've been quite awful, haven't you?"
Tony's grip tightened, and he strained not to jump out and attack the monster now.
"Fine. I tried to give you a- AH!"
Tony used the small explosion as a diversion to cover for his as he braced himself behind the dresser. Curses and slurs were thrown around, mixed with yells and whines. Tony's breath hitched in his throat as he realized that this was only a temporary distraction.
"You- ungrateful scum!" Alveus cursed, still patting himself down, "I took you in; I helped you!"
His inhumans patted out the rest of the fire on Alveus, but the fire continued to grow from one gadget to the next, "You're a disease! You- You're going to pay for this!"
He tore the door off of its hinges to reveal the now empty spot, "Come out, coward!"
Tony tried to control the unruly beating in his chest and the quicker paced breaths.
"You'll bleed for this!" Alveus raged, before his gaze landed upon the dresser. A sinister smile crept onto his face as he began towards the barrier, "Oh, I've got you now."
Tony braced himself, ready to fight, but the fight never came. Instead, a howl pierced through the smoking room, and the ripping of flesh could be heard. He made out at least six sets of footsteps, before he finally poked his head from behind the dresser.
Steve had one of the creatures in a headlock, but he had difficulty fully making out the entire fight.
His eye caught Pietro's blur of blue, but that wasn't what shocked him. What shocked him was the injured inhuman on the floor, but what shocked him more, was the stub of an arm on his torso.
Thor had completely cut off his right arm, leaving him in immense pain. He lifted Stormbreaker to attack once more, but his swing was just that,
A swing.
