Once I had gotten changed and grabbed my phone off the nightstand, I sped down the hallway trying to leave as quickly as I could.

I'm free I'm free I'm free. I kept telling myself over and over again. I hated the hospital, always have. And to be stuck in one for four days!? I'm surprised I didn't go insane.

I was almost at the reception desk when I saw Greenland signing the papers for me to leave. I was about to sign but soon remembered I had to get his attention first.

I tapped him on the shoulder and he spun around pretty quickly, but soon relaxed when he saw it was me. "Oh sorry, I was just signing you out of here." He said as he turned back around to continue what he was doing. He really didn't have to do that. I thought, but he turned around to speak again.

Holding the pen and paper in his hand, he handed them to me and said "You need to sign your name in about two places." He pointed to the places where I needed so sign my name. "Ya' know, so they know I'm not trying to kidnap ya." He said with a smirk. The reception lady didn't like that and gave him a cold look, but he never noticed.

I signed my name on the two lines at the bottom of the paper, it took me a few seconds to figure out what language I needed to sign it in though, but I guess it doesn't really matter.

When I handed the paper back to Greenland he stared at my handwriting in amazement, he honestly looked as if he'd never seen anyone write before.

"Oh my God your handwriting is amazing." He said as he looked at it one more time before handing it back to the reception lady. He shook his head, "I don't think I've ever seen anyone write that neatly. Not even England."

I didn't really see what was so amazing about it, it looked like normal handwriting to me. "Maybe it's because I spend most of my days in a lab writing stuff down." I signed, and maybe it was true. I never really thought my handwriting was good, but then again I've never really seen anyone else's.

He tilted his head to the side, "You do what now?" He seemed quite shock about what I had said, had he never met someone who worked in a lab before?

I looking behind me at the reception lady, who looked quite annoyed at this point. I didn't want to bother her anymore so I pointed towards the door and signed "I think we should leave now.." And glanced over at the lady just quick enough for Greenland to see.

He must have figured out what I was talking about because right after that he grabbed hold of my hand and was pulling me towards the door. "Well, looks like were on our way to get something to eat now." He said as we walked out the double doors.

Once we had gotten to his car he let go of my hand. Aw.. I thought a little disappointed. I didn't really want to let go.. I shook the thought away as he unlocked his car, stepping in.

He moved the stuff in the passenger seat to the back to give me room to sit down. "Sorry it's such a mess, I never really have anyone ride with me." He said, and I couldn't help but feel bad for him.

"Oh it's fine, I've only ever been in a car with one othe person." I said, Oh God please say that didn't sound weird. I thought to myself, not wanting to scare my new friend away.

"Really? Who?" He seemed a little confused non the less, like he didn't really expect it. "I thought you'd be the kind of person to hang out with a lot of people." He said while starting the car.

I shuttered at the thought. I had been away from people for so long I didn't really know what it was like to socialize, more or less have a friend.

"Nah, I never socialized with anyone other than my sister, and when I moved out I really didn't talk to anyone. I just spent almost everyday in my lab working on stuff or studying the different wildlife." Dang my life seems kinda boring.

I didn't really notice that we were already going down the road to the restaurant because of how in-thought I was. I also almost missed what Greenland said to me.

"Wait- you're a scientist?" He said, seeming pretty interested. "I never really would have guessed it, but then again it might explain the really neat handwriting." He said glancing at me as we went down the road.

"Yeah, I study all kinds of stuff!" I signed enthusiastically, I finally have someone I can talk to.. I thought happily. "I study wildlife, solve a bunch of equations in the process, write, read, cook, you name it!"

He looked it the mirror and gave a small half smile. "Yeah, but do you get a good sleep schedule?" He said jokingly.

I paused for a minute, not to sure on what to think. "Um, maybe? I never really thought about it.." And it was true, I never really thought about my sleep schedule much.

As we pulled into the parking lot, he glanced at me again. "Eh, neither do I. My job is a pain in the arse." He said kinda bitterly, not seeming to like the thought of his job.

"Oh, what do you do?" He never really mentioned his job, and I'm kinda curious now.

"I.." He paused as he finished parking the car. "It doesn't matter. Your job is more interesting anyways." He said with a sigh, like it was hurting him to think about it.

I didn't really know what to say, so I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out the car as he did the same. Locking the car door behind us, we walked into the restaurant silent as we stepped inside.

Aight Imma leave it here for now. (I was gonna make it longer, but I realized it was already at 1,024 words and I didn't want to over do it.) I'll probably update it later today if not by tomorrow, so stay tuned for the next chapter. (Don't worry, Greenland's POV is coming soon ;) ) Also, I have a question for y'all:

I wanna know how y'all got into the Countryhumans fandom! I think it's kinda cool to see how everyone got here lol.

Anyways that's all for now, bye! <3
