The light of the Warp traveled from Earth, transporting Steven and the gems across space. Morganite looked up inside the Warp stream with a serious, but determined look on her face. Steven looked at her with concern. He didn't know what he would have to deal with, but he hoped it would lead to a new clue on his dream. More than anything now, he wanted to know what his mom was really hiding. If helping the new gem meant getting back on track with his dream, then he was more than willing to lend a hand.

The stream carried them safely onto the Warp Pad inside the palace of the Diamonds. The palace of the Diamonds was extravagant. The pristine white walls and floors practically glowed with radiance. The long, red carpet lead to the extravagant thrones of the Diamond's tailored to their size. The diamond shaped thrones truly emphasized the size of the gargantuan ball room. Everything to the columns and the drapery, seemed to be for the likes of royalty. The room was still from the emptiness, including Steven and the gems, who stood still in place.

Steven looked around nervously. He didn't want to attract the attention of anyone that might be in the palace, especially the Diamonds. As all five of them stood there in a tense silence, Steven walked off the Warp Pad and motioned them with his hand to follow him quietly. They walked out of the ballroom as swiftly as the silence would let them go. They went from one hallway to another, trying running to the outside of the labyrinth-like palace. Each corner seemed to fork into three more. Pearl knew her way around and tried to lead the best she could, running carefully down each hall, left, and right.

Morganite looked all around her as a confusion began to creep on her face. From her perspective, everything seemed different. She saw things that weren't there before, and started to wonder how long she had been bubbled. She had seen the palace, but not in the grand state it is in now.

All five of them turned a final corner and headed to the outside. Steven and the gems stopped just outside the door as Morganite followed. They all let out a sigh of relief, as they have successfully gotten out without attracting attention. Morganite came from behind, finally seeing the outside to Homeworld. She saw the result of thousands of years without her. The towering buildings and structures of the colony loomed before them. Ships were coming and going, flying in and out. The sky was empty with only stars twinkling in the distance of the black, ominous sky. The only light that shone, was the glow from inside the empire.  Below them was the hollowed grounds of enormous kindergartens laying miserably empty. She collapsed on her knees, overwhelmed by the fact that she missed so much. Everything had changed around her, and she wasn't here for it.

"Oh," Morganite said, distraught. "I really have been out for a long time. That might mean," Morganite choked on her words and began to cry. Her demoralizing emotions caused her eyes to go to a full white-pink color again. She covered her face in her hands as she said, "She might not be here anymore. She's probably shattered for all I know. And I wasn't there with her! What kind of gem am I!"

Steven and the gems bent down beside her, attempting to comfort her. Steven spoke up and said, "We don't know that for sure. Although we don't even know who we're looking for. Can you tell us that first?"

Morganite removed her hands from her head, and wiped her tears as she said, "We're looking for my other half." She touched her trapezoid shaped gem, and rubbed her thumb against it gently.

"Were you two fused?" Garnet asked curiously.

"No, but we were always together." She said, looking up. "Everything I did, I wanted to do it for her. I wanted to do it with her I protected her, I laughed with her, I cried with her, and I just loved her. We were very close."

"I understand," Garnet said. "Maybe you two weren't fused, but I can see your love for her is very strong and passionate. I know I don't like being apart," She showed Morganite the two gems on her hands, "Ruby and Sapphire don't like being split up, but I know, no matter what, they'll always come running back to each other with open, loving arms."
