"Hi Thor," I said brightly as I followed Uncle Tony.
"Drifting left," Uncle Tony told Thor. "On the side there, Lebowski. Ratchet, how's it going?"
"It's Rocket," Rocket shouted back.
"He's told you that at least five times," I reminded Uncle Tony.
"Oh, hush," Uncle Tony said.
"You're not the only a genius on Earth, pal," Rocket said.
"Yeah, there's at least two in this room," I said as I walked up to Rocket and gave him a fistbump.
"Good to see you, Vi," Rocket said.
"Thanks," I said brightly as I helped Uncle Tony finished up the machine. All the needed was a volunteer, which honestly didn't take very long to find.
"Why can't I do the test jump?" I asked Steve again.
"Because we agreed no time travel for you," Steve said again. "Helena would kill us, and we're not letting you."
"All right, Clint," Bruce began. "We're going in
"Three.
"Two.
"One."
And then he was gone, he was back a moment later, gasping. "Hey, hey. Look at me. You okay?" Nat asked Clint.
"Yeah," Clint said. "It worked. It worked."
"This is gonna work," I said hopefully as I looked at Steve. "We might be able to bring my family back? All of them?"
"I hope so," Steve said quietly.
~*~
"Okay, so the how works," Steve said.
"Now we gotta figure out the when, and the where," I said brightly.
"Of which, you are not going to the when and where, young lady," Uncle Tony remined.
"Yeah, yeah," I said waving a hand.
"Almost everyone in this room has had an encounter with at least one of the six Infinity Stones," Steve said.
"Well, I'd subtitute the word 'encounter' for damn near been killed by one of the six Infinity Stones," Uncle Tony said.
"I haven't," Scott said.
"Ditto," I said.
"I don't even know what the hell you're all talking about," Scott said.
"Regardless, we only have enough Pym Particles for one round trip each, and these stones have been in a lot of different places throughout history," Bruce said.
"Our history," Tony said. "So, not a lot of convenient spots to just drop in."
"Which means we have to pick our targets," Clint said.
"Yeppers," I said. "And hopefully not change anything too big in the process."
"We've talked about this," Bruce said.
"Yeah, she won't listen," Uncle Tony said.
"So," Steve said as he gave the three of us a look. "Let's start with the Aether. Thor, what do you know?"
"Is he asleep?" I asked when Thor didn't respond.
"No, no," Rhodey said. "I'm pretty sure he's dead."
"We're about to find out," I said brightly as I went over to Thor.
"Vi," Steve warned, but I ignored him as I grabbed another beer and opened it.
