Han's POV
I went down to the docks as Elsa requested. I didn't mind doing whatever work that was set out for me. It was a good way to take my mind off of things. What I did mind was the whispers that went through the crowd as I walked by. When I reach the docks, I look for a man who seems to be in charge. He wasn't exactly hard to miss, since he was standing there overseeing the whole process. I walk up to him and hand him the letter that Elsa told me to give to him.
"Oh, so you're the Prince that caused trouble 'ere a while ago, eh?" He asks sounding very amused, or perhaps the accent in his voice made him sound that way. "So, since the Queen told ya ta come do some work, I'll give ya a few jobs to do lad. Ya can start by helpin' haul those crates to that wagon." I nod in understanding and go do as told. The crates were not terribly heavy, but it was a slight struggle at first.
I trues not to look around my surroundings too much, but every now and then, out of the corner of my eye, I'd see a person stop and stare at me for a few seconds then continue off.
Elsa's POV
Sitting in this study was tedious. Letter after letter had to be read and replied to. "I'd love to be outside in the garden right now," I thought spinning the pen between my fingers as I stared at the blank piece of paper. It was such a lovely day, sun shining and not a cloud in sight, but no. I have responsibilities and those come first. No matter what. Knock knock.
"Oh, come in," I said."Hi," Anna said as she entered the room, albeit a little nervously. "Um, well, I need to talk to you about something."
"Alright what is it?" I ask, relieved for any distraction from the work.
"Well, you see, I'm still not to sure about Hans living here," Anna says.
"I understand, but I thought it'd be better for him to repay his crimes under my jurisdiction, than in a cell."
"Okay, that makes sense but still. And where even is he?" Anna asks. "I've been looking all over the castle for him to make sure he's not plotting something evil, and I can't find him."
"I sent him to work at the docks for the time being."
"What? Why? I mean I guess putting him to work is logical but why at the docks? We could've sent him to harvest ice with Kristoff and had him freeze to death," Anna says in a huff.
I laugh involuntarily. "Isn't that a little harsh?" I ask, still giggling.
"Meh," Anna says, brushing off the subject like it was no big deal. "So anyways, what have you been up to?"
"Work as always," I say with a sigh.
"Geez, with all this work we still hardly get to see each other," Anna says, plopping into a chair.
"Well, we do see each other," I say, turning back to the work so I can get it done faster.
"Yea," Anna agrees. "You know what we should do sometime? We should walk around town. I mean you hardly leave the castle, or have time to speak with any of the villagers."
"That'd be fun," I agree.
"So we should go do that now. Right now," Anna says, determination in her voice.
"I have to much work to do today, perhaps tomorrow."
"Ugh, fine," Anna says, standing up. "Well I'm going to go to the library, see you later," she says leaving.
I return my focus back to my work. The same tedious routine. "I wonder how Hans is doing?" I wonder.
~~~{♢}~~~
"Dear Queen Elsa,
We are glad to hear about the agreement if trading between our kingdoms, and we hope for a prosperous future.
Sincerely,
King William of Oradian"
"Is it really necessary to answer this letter?" I thought, placing the piece of parchment down.
Knock knock.
"Anna again?" I wonder.
"Come in," I say. A guard walks, no, busts in, a look of urgency on his face."Your Majesty, there's a fire in the village. Come quickly," He says. I stand up and follow him outside with out hesitation.
~~~[{♢]}~~~
"Is everyone out of the building?" I ask when I near the group.
"Your Majesty, my baby girl, she's still inside," a woman says.
"Someone, work on getting her out, you three keep refilling buckets of water, you two work on putting out the fire with water, everyone else stand back," I say. I begin to blast ice at the fire in attempts to extinguish it.
"Your Majesty, Prince Hans is working on getting the little girl out," a guard reports.
"Alright, have one more person help fill buckets of water and keep working," I say, focusing on the fire. "Both Hans and the little girl better come out okay," I think.
Hans' POV
This fire was large, it almost consumed the entire house. I ran checking everywhere I could. Getting this girl out was necessary. "Hello? Is anyone here?" I yell. I hear someone coughing and run towards the sound. A little girl is curled up in a corner, coughing from the smoke. I run over towards her and pick her up.
"It's okay, I'll get you out," I say, running to get out of the house. Smoke fills my lungs as I run, but I can't stop. I need to get her out at all costs.
When we exit the house fresh air burns it's way down my throat as I gasp for breath.
"My baby," a woman says as she runs up to me. I hand her her daughter and try to catch my breath. My vision is slightly blurry from lack of oxygen but it clears up in minutes. I look back at the house and see how much of the first has already been put out.
"Prince Hans, you saved my daughters life, how can I repay you?" The woman asks.
"There's no need to repay me," I say.
"But surely there's something I can do."
"The fact that your daughter is alive and well is repayment enough," I say.
"Prince Hans," Elsa says walking up to me. "What you did was very courageous. Due to that, you have saved someone who might have died otherwise. Part of your crimes have been repaid." She says before going back over to the rest of the crowd to make sure her citizens were okay.

Sorry that it has been so long since this has been updated but I had serious bad writers block with this story plus I've been busy. But due to my sprained ankle, I have more time to myself, so I figured I could update this. If anyone's still reading this, it would be amazing if you could comment and vote. (Especially since any comments I receive make my day XD)
