Sasuke had been carrying Naruto for about an hour now and the wind was now howling. They definitely weren't getting home in this. If they didn't find shelter soon, they were found to freeze and die for sure. The raven gave a side glance to the blonde boy on his back who looked on the verge of passing out. "Hang in there Naruto...."

"Rr we al mos' there?..." he slurred.

"I don't know. Hopefully." Thankfully, just as he said that, Sasuke could spot a tall rock-like structure up ahead. And upon closer inspection it appeared to be a cave. 'Yes!' He mentally cheered.

The cave was relatively big, about the size of a garage or something like that. And Sasuke had no trouble getting through the front and making his way to the back of the cave. It was still cold but at least it would provide some protection from the wind. The dirt floor was slightly damp but got dryer as you went deeper into the cave and it was littered with sticks around it.
'I can use some of the dry ones to make a fire' Sasuke thought as he gently placed Naruto on the ground leaning against the back of the cave. He practically collapsed next to him soon after. "Oi, Naruto. You still awake?"

"You can't get rid of me that easily teme." A laugh echoed through the cave. "I'm awake, can't say for how much longer though.."

"We're gonna be ok."

"I know that teme"

"........I was talking to myself.." Sasuke mumbles and Naruto didn't even need to look over to know he was blushing from embarrassment. He accidentally let out a chuckle. "Shut up dobe-"

"Duck-haired bitch"

"Frost-bitten loser"

"Emo asshole"

"Fox face idiot"

It went silent for a while and for a second Sasuke thought he might've actually hurt his feelings. Shit was he gonna cry again- His theory went up in smoke when Naruto suddenly burst out laughing.
'Ok?...'
It had been so long since he had last heard that beautiful sound. And it was reassuring to know that his Naruto was still in there. Eventually, Sasuke began to chuckle as well, unable to take the situation seriously. The two teens laughed on the cold floor with their voices echoing through the cave and then being carried outside to be drowned out by the wind for another two minutes before they ran out of breath. Sasuke took a couple deep breaths to calm himself down and realized he had done nothing to warm Naruto up. Glancing to his right he saw that the other was shivering. "Idiot, why didn't you say anything?"

"You can't tell me what to do teme" his insult went on deaf ears as Sasuke got up and began collecting the sticks, picking them up to see if they were dry and keeping them when he was satisfied. "What are you doing?"

"What does it look like I'm doing?" He answered without looking back. "I'm building a fire."

"Uh Huh....and how do you suppose you're gonna make it?"

"Just shut up and watch" Sasuke snapped before making a few hand signs and blowing out a bright ball of flame towards the sticks. Within seconds they were burning away, radiating the much needed heat.

"WOAH! How did you do that!!!" Naruto looked amazed. "I thought all the fire magic clans died out!"

"Most of them did, and so did mine....almost" Naruto decided not to say anything else since he knew this was a touchy subject.
Once Sasuke finished he slid down the wall into a sitting position next to Naruto and said blonde noticed he was starting to get bags under his eyes.
