“Cut! Good take!” the director’s voice boomed on the set. Jane just finished shooting a scene for a small role in a teleserye. Actually best friend lang siya ng main actress sa serye, nonetheless she’s still grateful. Big or small roles, for Jane, they’re all blessings.

“Thanks Jane! Bali sa Sunday nalang ulit ang shoot. Tawagan kita para sa call time and location ha?” sabi ni Sir Vincent, assistant director sa serye.

“Okay po. Nakita niyo po ba si Tita Cris?” Jane asked.

“Ay oo nga pala. Pinapasabi niya na nauna na siya. Umalis kasi may mall show daw si Michelle eh kailangan andun din daw siya. Tinawagan naman daw niya si Tita Jen para siya na sumundo sa’yo.”

“Ganun po ba. Sige po. Salamat po, sa Friday nalang po,” Jane smiled at him.

“Sige, iwan na muna kita diyan at may 5 scenes pa kami. See you on Sunday,” then Vincent left him to take another scene.

Si Jane naman naglakad papunta sa dressing room niya, pero bigla siyang napaupo dahil sa pagkahilo. Kanina pa hindi maganda ang pakiramdam niya after school, pero tumuloy parin siya sa shooting. She wouldn’t want to keep her workmates hanging just because she’s sick.

She rested for a while and waited for the woozy spell to pass. After a few minutes, still feeling light-headed, sinubukan niya pumuntang dressing room.

Wala na palang tao sa dressing room, maybe they went home since mas nauna natapos ang scenes nila.

She was about to lift her heavy bag when she felt dizzy again. Her head felt heavy kaya naman she decided to sit down and rest for a while. She fumbled for her phone in her bag to call her mom. “Sana malapit na si Mommy,” she silently prayed because any moment she might faint.

Still feeling dizzy, she checked her phone. She saw her mom’s SMS asking her to just take a cab going home kasi nasa PTA meeting pa siya ni Noemi.

“I can’t hail a cab like this,” Jane thought. At this moment she’s deciding whether to ask help from the staff or just push herself to go home.

She decided to do the latter since ayaw niya naman makaabala kanino man while shooting.

But then again, she decided to send a text to Alvin.

Alvin asan ka?

Few minutes later Alvin replied back.

Ball practice. Why?

Jane tried to focus her vision on the screen, but she’s seeing double already. Hinang hina na siya at sobrang bigat ng ulo niya kaya naman nahiga nalang siya sa bench.

Luckily few minutes later, pumasok si Ate Mia, one of the PAs sa dressing room. She was surprised to see Jane still there.

“O Jane, andyan ka pa pala,” Jane looked pale so she decided to check on her. “Okay ka lang ba?” She went close to her and check her temperature. “Nako! Ang taas ng lagnat mo ah! Asan si Tita Jen?”

“Parating na..”Jane answered weakly. Ayaw na niya abalahin si Ate Mia or sino man, kaya she’s willing to wait for her mom’s PTA meeting to finish. Anyway baka mamaya- maya mas maging okay na ang pakiramdam niya.

Ate Mia felt bad for Jane, so she made herself busy. Kumuha siya ng kumot at jacket at pinasuot kay Jane.

“Ikaw talaga may lagnat ka na pala eh bakit nagtrabaho ka pa?” Ate Mia scolded her affectionately.
