Chapter 9

A month later

Kai's p.o.v

Opening my eyes, I jolt when I see stone. Looking around, a stone room is where I'm at. I feel maniacals on my wrists, easy. Moving my finger, I can't access the pick in my middle finger. Looking behind me, my hands are encased in full metal hand covers. This guy knows my tricks. The door opens, Paradox walks in. "Mmmm." I yell behind the ducktape. He smirks as a second guy walks in. My eyes go wide as he steps into the light. His hair is wild, teeth filed to points. That Kai is evil. "Even my counterpart fears me, good." He rips the tape off. "I don't fear you, motherfucker. I'm shocked at your appearance." I growl. "Yes, well, the life of a killer is shocking. Tell me, how was the ten years behind bars. Great, seeing how your married to your cell mate, who just so happened to have been our ex. And you have two girls, with more on the way." I freeze, how's he know that.

"I'm you, jackass. Danny tried changing me, but, I couldn't be saved, so, he and the ninja stole my fire and locked me up. Para here, he freed me, gave me my power back, and I decided to ruin my counterparts life. Yours. You did murder that mother and her baby, but it was me." Kai takes a sledge hammer, I try to move. Pain erupts from my left knee as he bashes the hammer into it. I scream bloody murder as he takes out my left arm and breaks my hip bones. He smashes my other knee cap and I drop, crying out as my busted shoulder is jostled. He grabs my hair, forcing me to look at hem. "I'll break you, one way or another."

Three weeks this goes on, everyday, he shatters the bones more that he's broke, me screaming my throat raw. At the end of the day, the chains come off, Kai holds me up. His hand burns with blue fire, he sets it on my right eye. A scream I didn't know I had is ripped from my raw throat.

(Scar on right eye, Kai's hair is same style but longer and silver streaked.)

The smell of burnt skin heavy in the room. He let's me go and I drop to the floor. "Put hem with the others." Kai orders. Two guards walk in, they pick me up and drag me. I'm bearly conscious as they walk into a room. They let me go, dropping my battered and bruised body. Collective gasps sound as my vision goes black.

Daniel's p.o.v.

Fighting the restraints that Kai has us in, the door opens. The guards walk in, they drag something,no, someone. They let them drop, leaving and we gasp at the sight of Kai, but, his hairs longer, smoother, and it's highlighted silver. His eyes close as he passes out. I'm calling hem Pyro. "He must be from this realm." Lloyd says. Pyro's arm and knees are in bad shape, his hips the same. The hell did Kai do. The door opens and Kai comes in. I flinch as he casts a look my way. The insane look in his eye is enough to strike fear into Garmadon. Kai walks up to Pyro, hand burning blue "Time to wake up." Kai grabs Pyro's hip, Pyro howls in pain, throwing his head back.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Did I interrupt your nap." Kai snears. "Fuck...off." Pyro hisses through clenched teeth. "You'd like that, wouldn't you." Kai said. Pyro grabs Kai's shirt, jerking hard and slams heads with Kai. Kai reels back, howling more out of rage than pain. Pyro smirks "Like that, bitch." Pyro laughs. I like this Kai, he's a fighter. Kai snarls, kicking Pyro and is on hem in an instant. Kai slugs Pyro, he breaks his nose, dislocate's his jaw and burns his eye worse. Pyro, with what he had, lifts a leg, and yelling in pain, kicked Kai away.

Kai slams into the wall, creaks forming. Taking his hand, a loud pop sounds as Pyro relocates his jaw. "I'm not you. I have friends, brothers, sisters. Family that has my back. Family that will fight beside me. Family, that will find me. And when they do, your fucked. My husband will have your head.  You'll wish you'd never accused me of murder sixteen years ago. You will suffer for all you've done, I'll make sure of it." With that, Pyro sends a white fireball at Kai.

Kai counters by one of his blue ones. Pyro must have dug deep, he roars, fire shooting from his mouth and Kai is forced to reliant and leave. Afterwards, Pyro slumps, exhaustion taking hem. "I'm fucked when he comes back." Pyro said. No sooner had he said that, Kai storms in, sledge hammer in hand. It's covered in blood. Pyro tries to move back but Kai slams it down on Pyro's right shin, he howls in white agony pain. Kai does it to his other shin, than crushes Pyro's good hand. The last swing connects with Pyro's head, he slams into the floor, the force making hem skid before me. "Die, bitch." Kai rises the hammer, a knife blade hoes to his neck. "Do it, and you won't have hem to worry about." The guy behind hem leg sweeps Kai, Cole holds his wrists, Zane cuffs vengestone chains on hem. The one gets up, picking Pyro up as five others run in, we're let free. "Pyro, Pyro, love pkease answer me." The guy removes his helmet, it's me. Dan presses their lips together, Pyro gently responds. "I'm here, I'm not going anywhere." Pyro says. "Good, kiara and Dani still need their mama. Let's get you out of here." Dan picks hem up, Pyro hissing in pain.

We follow, Lloyd leaned on me as his foots is badly healed. We come to Ninjago hospital, Pyro taken back, Lloyd's foot is rebroke and set back. Dan paces the hall, he's anxious. The doctor comes out, muttering to Dan and his shoulders relax in relief. I smile, his Kai will live. He goes to the back, Lloyd touches my hand. Looking at hem, he nuzzles my neck. When Kai went phyco, I broke it off from hem. Lloyd and me started dating sometime after and it pissed Kai off. I kiss Lloyd, he kisses back. Resting our foreheads together, Lloyd curls up and falls asleep.

Danny's p.o.v.

Walking into the room, I cover my mouth. "Its as bad as it looks, love." Kai said, I grasp his bicep. Sitting on the bed, Kai hisses the bed jostles his hips. "Metal rods on my legs, plates in my hips, rods and plates in my shoulder and arm, hand in a cast. My head had to have plates as well. He fucked me up." Kai says. "Also a broken nose." I said, poking it. Kai smiles "The doctors fear the safety of the kid. They tried doing an ultrasound but the damage is too great in my hips to get a clear picture." Kai said.

I rest a hand on his middle, he winches as I feel a kick. "We know its alive." I say. Kai nods, his right eye covered in plaster and gaze. I kiss over the wrap, pulling hem close. "Your still my Pyro." I said. Kai tears up and I wrip them away. "As the second-in-command of the Assassin's, I should be accustomed to this. But, this is the first time I've been beatened like this."Kai said. "I'll help you through this. I didn't marry you cause you were my ex. I marry the Kai that's before me. A loving mother, brother, brother-in-arms and second-in-command. Your not here cause your weak. Your the strongest person I know and I'm honored to be your beloved husband." I say. Kai creaks a grin "How can you make a bad situation good again." He asked. I kiss hem on the lips "Its who I am." I said. Kai purrs, laying his head back and falls asleep.

Three months Kai's been in the hospital, he'll be in for another seven. The doctor is keeping a close eye on Kai, he's a month overdue. Kai's hips are their main concern. When he goes into labor, they fear his hips will snap. Kai knows the risk and is willing to have a natural birth. I'm in the room, leaning back in the chair as Kai watches a movie. He reaches a hand out, one I take and hold. "I never got to thank you." He says, out the blue. I look at Kai. "The day I was brought to kriptarum prison, i was ready to give up. You gave me my spirit back and I thank you." I smile, standing and lean down to kiss Kai. He moans into it, a moan that turns into a gasp. His hand, which is on my chest, balls into a fist.

Kai releases his grip in favor of curling up. "Your in labor." I said. "I thought...thought it was the pain of my hips...." Kai said, hand fists into the sheets. "How long." "Five hours." Kai yelled as a contraction rakes his body. Jerking the door open, I stand in the hall. I see Jay walking my way, he sees my look and runs. "What's wrong." "Kai, his been in labor for the last five hours. He thought it was the ...." "The pain in his hips, shit. I feared this would happen. Your gonna have to try and calm hem." Jay said. I nod as we go into the room. Kai is panting from pain, his face scrunched up in pain. Jay touches Kai on his thigh. Kai peeks, looking at hem.

Kai's p.o.v

This pain of labor is nothing like last time, probably because my hips and legs are fucked. A pop is felt and Jay cusses. "Kai, your about to be in a load of pain." I throw my head back, a contraction had hit, along with the need to push. God, it hurts to bear down, but I have to. Screaming to the top of my lungs, the baby enters the channel. It gets to my pelvis and this is literally the make or break moment. Bearing down, Danny rubbing my back, loud as hell creaking sounds. Fuck it, if my hips break, fuck it. Yelling, it turns into a blood curdling scream as both hips shatter once more, the baby slides out. Jay uses his lightning to get a picture of my womb. "She's it, she's the only one." Jay said before I blackout.
