*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

The blare of the alarm roused Shayne from his sleep. He moved to stretch, but found that his arms were stuck, held tight by strong arms. Damien's arms. The previous day flashed through his mind quickly, and he was overcome with content. This was interrupted by the alarm blaring yet again, causing his eyes to snap wide open, wiggling himself out of Damien's grip. He frantically looked to his bedside table to see that it was only 30 minutes till he and Damien were supposed to be at the office.

Shayne threw the blanket off of himself, but immediately wished he hadn't upon realizing he was still naked. He shivered, before searching the ground for his boxers, which he found right next to the bed. At least Damien had be conscientious. Speaking of Damien, he was still asleep, or at least he was trying to be.

"Damien," Shayne said urgently, while slipping on his boxers, "Damien get up, we're gonna be late!"

"Mmgrrmm," Damien mumbled, "come back to bed, it's too early."

Shayne sighed exasperatedly. How did Damien manage to get up for work every day? Though, he did tend to be late fairly often, though not nearly as often as Keith used to be. "Damien, get your ass up before I take the blanket off."

The fear of the cold was enough to get Damien to sit up, holding the blanket to his chest. His hair was a mess, and his voice dripped with sleep as he asked Shayne, "Can't we just skip work today?"

Clearly, he was still half asleep.

"If you want to get fired then sure," Shayne rummaged through his drawers till he found something mostly decent to where. He'd have to skip his shower this morning, there just wasn't time.

Damien was finally beginning to fully wake up, wiping the sleep out of his eyes. He yawned, before throwing the blanket off and standing up shivering slightly, walking up behind Shayne who was still looking in his drawers for socks. He hugged his boyfriend from behind, kissing his neck.

Shayne sighed again. Damien was being very cute, but they just didn't have time for it right now. "Damien," he began, "I know that you're tired and all, but we have to get ready to go to work. We don't need to give Ian a reason besides us dating to fire us." Shayne let out a short chuckle at his own joke, though it was a bit strained as he was still concerned about that.

"Shayne, Ian's not gonna fire us." Damien said, matter-of-factly. "But I get your point." Damien paused, before adding, "Do we have time to swing by my house to check on my cats?"

"Sure, just get dressed and hopefully we'll have enough time for you to get ready at your place, and then beat the traffic to the office," Shayne was in a bit of a manic mode, finally deciding on a pair of socks, slipping them on before looking around for his shoes. He left the room to get his shoes from where they had been left by the front door, and he could hear Damien shuffling around, most likely putting on the same clothes he had been wearing the previous day.

Shayne entered the room to find Damien dressed, looking pretty disheveled and trying to fix his hair in the mirror. Shayne couldn't help but chuckle. Their first morning as boyfriends was a mess, which made perfect sense knowing how he and Damien functioned.

"I've got a brush, lemme just grab it for you," Shayne said, before slipping into his bathroom to grab the brush. He left the bathroom and handed the brush to Damien. "Hopefully we can get to your place with enough time for you to brush your teeth and everything, but just in case, I've got a couple extra toothbrushes I haven't opened yet." Damien smiled I'm thanks, taking the brush to somewhat fix the mop of hair on his head.

After what seemed like forever, but was really only about 10 minutes, Shayne and Damien left the apartment, Shayne locking the door behind himself. They made a quick stop at Damien's place, where he changed and brushed his teeth, as well as fed his cats. Shayne practically had to drag Damien away from his cats, since it seemed he would just sit and play with them for the next hour if he didn't intervene.

They didn't even have time to think about how it might look to show up in the same car, Damien's car still sitting in the enclosed parking lot, and finally they made it to the office.

The door clinked open, Shayne holding the door for Damien.

"Well, look who decided to show up," Courtney said, laughing. She was sitting in a comfy chair in the office entrance.

"We're only like, 5 minutes late," Shayne said pointedly.

"'We'?" Courtney asked, smugly. She was staring at Shayne's neck.

"Shit," Shayne cursed under his breath. He had forgotten about the hickeys that Damien had given him the night prior. Shayne was about to say something, before Damien butted in.

"Yes, we," he said with conviction, "and staring is rude."

Shayne was shocked. He had never seen Damien be aggressive towards Courtney. But then, Damien grinned. "Unless, of course," he looked pointedly at Shayne, "I'm the one staring." Shayne's jaw dropped. He felt his cheeks flush and wanted nothing more than to sink into the floor.

Damien laughed heartily, before looking at Courtney and saying, "Look, just don't say anything about it, alright?" Courtney was the only other person in the room, so she nodded.

"Your secret is safe with me," she motioned like she was zipping her mouth closed.

Shayne was still stunned, but he shook his head and looked at Damien. "Damien?"

"Shayne, it's Courtney. We both know she's trustworthy. And I couldn't think up a lie fast enough for why your neck is covered in dark purple bruises," Damien laughed again. "Courtney, do you think we have a scarf or something on set? I'm not sure Shayne is ready for Ian or someone else to know about this. I mean, are you?" Damien looked expectantly at Shayne, no pressure behind his words.

Shayne hesitated. It would be an awkward day if he had to explain over and over again that, yes, he had hooked up with Damien and, yes, they were dating now, but he also didn't want to hide that he was with Damien. Damien's face melted, seeing the struggle behind Shayne's eyes.

"Oh, baby boy, please don't stress about this," Damien murmured, his voice soft. He placed a hand on Shayne's back, pulling him into a hug, which Shayne readily accepted.

Finally, Shayne spoke. "I don't need the scarf."

"Are you sure? It's not gonna make you uncomfortable when people ask about your neck?"

"No, really, it's fine." Shayne lowered his voice so only Damien could hear him, whispering straight in his ear. "And, it's kinda hot to think that they'll all know that you did this to me. You marked me as yours," Shayne's breath was hot on Damien's ear. Damien shivered.

"So be it, Shayne," Damien chuckled, "let's get to work then."

Courtney was visibly trying to hear what they were saying, while also trying not to look like she was doing so. Then, the men turned around and she smiled.

"I'm just so proud of my boys," she clasped her hands gleefully. Damien and Shayne shared a look, amused at her reaction. At that moment, the door swung open and Ian stepped in, not even noticing Shayne's neck or the fact that he was hugging Damien.

"We're filming a try not to laugh in five minutes, be ready," Ian announced, beginning to turn around before realization finally flickered in his eyes. He came to a full stop, looking at the door, before turning again to look at Shayne and Damien.

Damien tried to look nonchalant, but he still held Shayne in a hug. Shayne was clearly nervous, wanting to say something but frozen. Ian finally sighed.

"Good for you two. Shayne, get to make-up so they can cover your... neck. We don't want the fans to throw a fit," he winked, before leaving again.
