A few days of traveling is what it took. That's all it took. After about a week of wandering aimlessly I came across a shrine of some sort. It was a pretty little monument surrounded by even prettier nature and man-made stone paths. There was no fear or worry in this exact moment. The place was so beautiful it could put anyone to ease as they would just get lost in the magnificent scenery displayed before them. The inscription on the rocky monument suggested it was supposed to belong to a deity of the kitsune variety. I stared at the inscription for a while in dumbfounded shock. I never knew people ever worshiped anything other than themselves. Just as I was in thought a sound commanded my attention and so I looked the direction of the sound. It was a little girl with a basket full of flowers and possibly pastries by the smell of it. She looked scared when she saw me but I did my best to act kind and not appear menacing. To my surprise it worked and the little girl came and talked to me. She asked if I'd give the basket of flowers and pastries to the patron of this shrine and I obliged not really sure how I'd fulfill her wishes. Getting a good look at her she was about 5 or maybe 7. Regardless of age she had piercing yellow eyes and black hair to match her black ears and tail. She bid me her goodbyes and skipped off to return to her pack. I honestly had no idea how to fulfill the little girls wishes, I didn't even know there was such a thing as these shrines. Before anything else could plague my mind someone came from the brush. They had majestic white ears and tails, tails? Yes tails. They had at least 9 tails all beautiful in their white as snow appearance. The stranger also worn a black kimono with a yellow-ish gold thread holding parts of it. It was truly a sight to behold! Their icy blue eyes gazing over me like I was one of their followers. They knelt down beside me before beginning to question me slightly. I did my best to appear like I had with the little girl, kind and not menacing. It was almost like the stranger knew my intentions. They offered their hand and I gladly took it as we exchanged a short conversation as if we were friends. They were quite nice, they told me about how this shrine was theirs and they where the deity that inhabited it. We talked for awhile and they even shared some of the pastries the little girl brought to them as an offering. I learned the the strange deity was a fox or kitsune and also a male. I made it known that I was a wolf unbound by oppressive labels and oddly enough he didn't say anything all he did was nod. "So your a wolf.. but where's your pack?" He questioned me with softness in his tone. I didn't want to let me past be known but he was being so hospitable it was only fair. After I told him my past and why I had no pack currently he looked at me with those icy blue daggers of eyes and asked if I had any place to stay. I told him no and he offered to let me stay with him at least till I found my own den or pack. I accepted the offer and learned his name. It was a rather normal name nothing Japanese or something like I expected but it still served its purpose.
