Chapter 7 - needing answers

Tags: what the FUCK IS THIS SHIT MALEK!!!

Tags is stood inside an old civilian transport aircraft that was used to lift people of planet. It had cryopods. Much like the one he woke up in. The kid sits in the corner with only a t shirt and ragged shorts on. Blue tries to calm her but she is quivering in fear. Tags screams at general malek down a small hologram disk that projects malek.

General: now calm down. I knew you and Kira where the only option and you wouldn't accept it if it was a DGU contract-

Tags: SO YOU FUCKING LIED! YOU DO REALISE IM IN THE BONEYARD WHICH IS A DGU CONTROLLED AREA WITH ONE EXIT!

General: did you leave any survivors?

Tags: no.

General: so the DGU won't know the culprit until they check the cameras. Did you burn the vehicle.

Tags: like always.

General: then you'll be fine.

Tags: no I fucking won't because I'll be prime suspect seen as though I'm a looter and pretty much the only one in the graveyard who isn't DGU or one of your old friends doing slave labour.

General: put the girl in your boot and just leave.

Tags: pretty inhumane isn't it.

General: look come and get your pay and she'll be out of your hair.

Tags: what are you plans with her.

Tags looks at the kid.

General: this will be discussed in person.

Tags: you lied. I want double payment. Normally I'd ask for triple but I'm doing a friend a favour.

General: we agreed on a price!

Tags: we agreed this wasn't a DGU contract!

General: wha-

Tags: double pay or I give the kid back to the DGU!

Tags hangs up.

Tags: fuck.

He's furious. He picks up the holodisk and throws it off a wall shattering it.

The girl let's out a muffled scream. Tags looks at her. He had taken off the restraints and the mouthpiece but she covered her mouth as she yelled.

Tags realise the whole sat in the dark of a ship might be scary so he offers her a hand.

Tags: I won't hurt you.

Tags extends his arm closer.

She goes to grab his hand but as their hands touch she snaps her arm back like she thought it would hurt.

Blue goes to look into her eyes but tags picks him up.

Tags: no we need her to trust us.

He stretches his hand out.

She stay still.

Tags: look-

The girl jumps as he speaks.

Tags: look we need to move and I'm not in the mood too stay here for two hours so either you come willingly or I'm going to carry you again.

Tags holds out his hand again and she presses against the wall harder trying to lean back.

Tags sighs and picks her up. He slings her over his shoulder as she kicks her legs and punches his back. He steps out of the ship into the light and walks to his car.
