Charles stood off to one side of the large room, he saw where Destiny stood so for a moment he disappeared down a long hallway and into one of the apartments.
Destiny looked around and noticed that her silent savior had vanished. She looked to where Henry sat and her eyes cast up to see two older men speaking to each other one was angry. She walked over and stood at the bottom of the stairs as the one man stopped in front of her, she looked at him and kissed his ring.
"Your grace." She almost hissed, her thick accent very noticeable.
"Who are you?" He asked her.
"Lady Destiny Bryne."
"And that means what? My lady?"
"I'm the kings cousin." She whispered to him. He waited for a moment as if he hadn't heard her correctly but then stepped away from her and down the hall.
Destiny went back to where she had been standing, she noticed that Henry was gone. She continued to watch people as they danced and enjoyed themselves.
"Good evening my lady."
Destiny stiffened when she heard the voice, and the hand touch her arm.
"I see the king still doesnt see the threat."
"Leave me alone." Destiny said softly.
"You will do as you are told or I will kill you right here."
"What do you want?"
"You are coming with me. No objections or fighting."
Destiny nodded and placed her hand on his arm, he looked around and led her from the hall.
"Smile my lady."
Destiny gave a weak smile, he led her down the hallway and into a chamber and closed and latched the door.
"See now, how easy that was."
"Why?" She asked him, she backed up away from him, her head turned as someone came from a side room.
"Please sit." He told her, Destiny moved over to the chair and sat down. She jumped when the other man placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Why?"
"You keep asking a question that I myself can not answer."
"They will notice I am gone. The queen will notice. He will notice."
"Maybe. But yes it is too soon to have you come up missing."
Destiny looked toward the door when she heard voices just beyond it, the man behind her clamped his hand over her mouth.
"You weren't thinking of screaming were you?"
She shook her head no, she just wanted away from these men. Her eyes again looked toward the door, this time a voice she had heard before.
"She seems to know that voice."
"He protected her earlier today."
"Get him in here."
"Are you serious?"
"Yes. I don't think he would do anything to get her hurt will he." He asked her. Her eyes cast to the door, he moved his hand from her mouth and leaned down.
"Warn him or scream and I will cut him down before he can get past the door. Do you understand?"
"Yes."
The door was unlatched and opened.
"Are you Charles Brandon?"
"Yes." He answered confused.
"Then please come in." The man said stepping aside, Charles looked at Destiny and could see the fear in her eyes.
"Are you alright my lady?" He asked her. Destiny looked at him and felt the hand on her shoulder squeeze it.
"Yes." She said barely keeping the fear from her voice.
"The king is looking for you." Charles lied.
"Have a seat boy." The man behind Destiny spoke.
"What?"
"Sit." The other said shoving Charles into a chair.
"Now tell your king that he will need to do better to keep her safe."
Destiny watched them and gasped when one hit Charles in the back of the head knocking him unconscious.
"Leave them." The two men left them alone closing the door behind them. Destiny dropped down next to Charles and checked for blood. She sat on the floor with his head laying in her lap for over an hour before he opened his eyes.
"I'm sorry." She whispered.
"Are you alright? Did they hurt you?"
"I'm fine and no they didnt hurt me. Are you alright?"
"Yes, my head will ache but I've had as bad jousting."
"Thank you." She said to him, her hand running over his face, her fingers slowly across his lips. He reached up and touched her cheek and slowly raised up his lips captured hers in a kiss. He deepened the kiss as he leaned her back onto the floor, his fingers unlaced her corset setting free her ample breasts. She moved her hands down his body unbuttoned his pants and moved them down past his hips. He kissed her neck and lifted her into his arms and moved to the large bed in the next room. He helped her shed the rest of her dress while he removed the rest of his own clothes. Destiny looked into his eyes and touched his face. He kissed her again and moved down her body.
If it hadn't been Destiny almost cried out no one would have known they were in the room.
"Well that was an interesting way to say thank you."
"Yes, and the king is going to kill me."
"Why?"
"I promised to keep from doing just this."
"Charles I am the one that started this not you." She told him, but Charles knew Henry would not see it that way.
"Will anyone notice us both come from this room?"
"Get dressed and we shall find out." Charles told her. It was easy for him to dress for her it was more of a show for him. He helped her lace up the front of her dress, his hands moving again up to her face  raising it to look at him as he leaned down and kissed her deeply.
"We should go before the queen sends guards looking for you."
"Too late. I already hear them. We should go."
Charles needed to speak to Henry again, this was to close. He looked out in the hall and saw no one and walked out with her, he caught the attention of two guards.
"I found Lady Bryne hiding in this room. Take her back to the queen's chambers. I will go and speak to his majesty."
"Come Lady Bryne." They said leading her away. Charles looked to where he needed to go. Explaining this to Henry that was another issue all together.
