Charles never knew how much he could love someone as he did Destiny, her smile her turquoise colored eyes even her voice. Her accent was what he found attractive when he first met her. He would ask the king for her hand in marriage. A marriage he knew he could keep, but right now she was bedridden due to her attack. Charles walked into the court to see Henry.
"Your grace?"
"It is nothing bad, Destiny is getting stronger by the day. I came for another reason."
"What would that be Charles?"
"I wish to ask for Destiny's hand in marriage."
"You have been her protector and I dare say a lover. You have my permission to marry her."
"Thank you your majesty."
"You are welcome my friend, now return to her side if I need you I will summon you."
"I will always come if summoned." Charles said bowing to him. He turned and headed back to Destiny's chambers. He walked into the chambers to find the guard standing in the room.
"Your grace."
"I will remain with her, you may leave." He told the guard, he turned and walked into the room where Destiny was, she looked at him and smiled.
"How was the king?"
"In good spirits. He did give his blessing for something though."
"What would that be?"
"Destiny he gave me permission to take your hand in marriage."
"I worried he would tell you no after what happened with his sister."
"He gave his blessing."
"I love you Charles." She said suddenly. Charles sat down on the edge of the bed and touched her face.
"I love you too. I never want to see tears in your eyes again."
"I know. I am tired."
"Then rest my love, I have something in court to work on."
"Tell me how is the queen"
"Sad, Henry has asked that she leave before he returns."
"Where is he going?"
"Hunting is the excuse he is using."
"That woman doesnt deserve his affections, but she gets them anyway. When she first arrived as a lady for the queen, she spoke harshly to me until Queen Catherine told her I was the kings cousin. That did not set well with Lady Anne."
"Nothing even does. Do not worry once you are strong enough I have permission from Henry to move you to my estate."
"Move with you?"
"I'd like to be able to watch you better without fear of another attack."
"Thank you, when do you feel I will be strong enough."
"I spoke to the physician be said another few days."
"Sooner?"
"I can see if the king would allow it."
"Please, because even with guards I feel it's not safe here."
"I will go speak to him now." Charles said, he turned and left the room. Destiny lay back against the pillows, she knew that in the room was just her, one of the maids for her and a single guard in the room and two more outside. She looked up when someone she had never seen before entered the room.
"My lady, I did not wish to startle you."
"Who are you? How did you get in here?"
"Your guards allowed me entrance, thought I was here to check your wounds."
"So you lied to them. As I asked before why are you here?"
"No real reason."
"Get out." Destiny said attempting to move.
"I would not move my lady, it seems you are bleeding again."
"Guards." She screamed. The guards ran into the room.
"I do not know this man, please remove him. I will also need the physician please."
"Yes Lady Bryne."
Destiny looked down and saw the blood and so did the lady that was there to help her.
"Your grace." The girl said bowing.
"You're bleeding again what happened?"
"Someone was given permission to enter my chambers. I went to sit up and well I am bleeding again. The physician is on his way."
"I will notify Henry we will leave here today."
"Alright." Destiny answered him, she with the help of the lady sat up. She then swung her legs over the edge of the bed and closed her eyes at the pain. She again heard a noise and looked up but it was the physician she saw.
"Lady Bryne you shouldn't be up."
"I am leaving the palace today. But for now you need to help with the bleeding."
"It is not a good idea you travel. But if you insist you will need to rest"
"And I will. Thank you."
She waited while the physician checked her wound and rebandaged it. Charles arrived back into the chambers as the physician was leaving.
"Henry has given his blessing for me to take you from the palace even get to use his private carriage."
"The physician was here and changed the bandage. He did not want me up  but understood."
"Alright, let's get you changed and then you can get ready to leave."
"Alright." She said to him, Charles stepped back to allow her lady to assist her in dressing, which was a more delicate process with her injury. She unsteadily walked into the next room and stood waiting. He held his arm out to her , looked at her lady and knew they would make sure they brought her items to his home at a later time.
