Kirishima's P.O.V

The drive to the Cafe was a nerve wracking one. Just last night, he was begging for a second chance and I was leaning against forgetting he existed. But now, I was supposed to meet him and not have a chance to kick him out. I mean, I could leave but it would cause a scene and I didn't want too make myself, or him, uncomfortable. I had the chance to gather hat I was going to say to him on my way but didn't make me any more ready to see him. I didn't even know what I was supposed to say. 'Hey, Mina fucked your best friend so I'll give you a chance because you ruined my life once; why not do it again?' No. I needed to have something prepared.

Pulling into the semi busy parking lot, I walked in hoping I didn't have to make a reservation like last time. And conveniently, there was a few tables open. Sitting at one, I ordered an iced water because it was free and 1; I'm in college which means 2: I don't have money and 3: this place was fucking expensive. No wonder he brought me here. He's freaking loaded and it was amazing. Bringing the water back, I took small sips while I watched the cats playing. I recognized some of them while I forgot the names of others. One, the smallest, game to my table, meowing at me before jumping in my lap. She curled up and started purring, pawing at my black jeans with her sharp claws. Checking her collar, I saw the cafes number along with her name; Pocki. She was a fluffy cat with an even fluffier tail. She was black with orange spots and seemed to be only a few months old.

"Cutest cat around huh?" I looked up at the voice coming from across the table. "She really is. I wish our dorms allowed pets." He snickered. "I'm sure the dorm would be flooded with cats." I stared at him with what Mina called 'dagger eyes'. "Not the time to joke Katsuki." He looked out at his shoes and pulled out the chair. "Not gonna lie; that kinda scared me." He sat down, legs crossed and staring out at the herd of cats in the corner. "So..." he started, drumming his fingers on the table. "I'm giving you a second chance. If you fuck it up this time, I'm done with you. It's as simple as that." I stated, taking a sip on my water. "Well, can we talk over coffee? My treat." I sat my water on the table and fixed my chair. "Please." He called the waiter over and ordered our coffee and a small plate of cat paw cookies. Pocki jumped off my lap and went to another table.

"I know you didn't just 'give me a chance' because 'you just wanted to' or 'thought it was a good idea'. If you did, I know you would have taken me back yesterday." I stopped him. "I'm not taking you back. We are as close as dating as Mina and I; and let me remind you, I'm gay. I'm giving you a second chance. There's a difference." "But not a big one." He tried to reason with me, hoping there wasn't a catch. I grabbed my water and took another sip before pushing it to the side. "There is a difference. There will be no sleeping in my dorm. I won't sleep over at your house. There will be no kissing or dates. We would do anything friends would do. And before you ask; no. Not friends with benefits. Just friends."

The waiter came over and served us our coffee and cookies leaving afterwards. "I don't think that's very fair. How am I supposed to prove myself to be someone you can be with if I can't date you." I grabbed a warm cookie and ate it quickly while Bakugou dipped his in his coffee. "That's not the idea of the second chance." He frowned. "Then what is?" I grabbed another cookie. "I'll tell you when we leave." He stared at his hands before smiling. "So, last time we were here, we never left the table right? They have an area to play with the cats over there." He pointed a small room made of glass. I looked at the cat towers and toys through the glass door and windows. "You know, I thought that was a back section where they keep food litter boxes." He laughed a little, staring at the cats in the room. "No, they have cat doors separated for that. You can go back there and buy time with the cats. They have catnip and toys and it's pretty cool. Wanna go?" I grabbed the last cookie off the plate, stuffing it in my mouth. "Sure. Sounds fun!" He giggled at my antics, gesturing for me to follow him.

He walked to the front and handed someone a twenty dollar bill and pointed to the door. Following him over, he unlocked the glass door and let us inside. "So they lock it?" I asked, walking in to the fur infested room. "Just so people don't walk in without paying. They have cat doors so cats can come and go as they please." He explained, grabbing a bag of catnip. Sprinkling it on the ground, the cats all ran for the green bits of herb, inhaling the scent, some going as far as to eat it. That's when it went crazy. He handed me a little cat toy; a stick with a little stuffed mouse at the end with a little bell. About five cats, all at once, went insane, attacking, jumping, and clawing at the toy on the string. "I've never seen so many cats do that." I was so focused on the cats near me, I didn't notice Bakugou with three cats asleep on him; one in his lap, one in his hands, and one draped in his shoulder. "While some cats go crazy, these guys fall asleep. He pet the fluffy cats while I continued playing, converting here and there.

Just as quick as it started, out twenty minutes was up and we said goodbye to the cafe and the cats, walking through the doors. "Now, will you explain what this second chance thing is to me?" I smiled. "Gladly. I'll put everything you've done behind me. Let's start this off right though; delete the video from your phone." He pulled it out and went to his gallery, no such video in his phone. "I'm deleted it Friday. Nobody has it." I smiled. "Good. I'll forget it ever existed. Now, we aren't dating. But I'm giving you a second chance. You have to make me fall for you. We're friends now. I know you can do it. This was a practice run. As far as I'm concerned, I haven't fallen for you yet." He smiled. "I can work with that." I smiled too. This time, more sinister. "Here's the catch." His smile faltered for a second before it perked back up. "Throw it at me."

"You have one week to make me fall for you."
