She didn't know what she was doing when she decided to try something new. She needed an escape. A desperate diversion from her dark, angry mind, which was to write.
While looking into the rain from her Chevy's window, she began to think. She knew she had been holding in her sincerest emotions. While she knew how sad she was, "sad" was admittedly an understatement. She felt so much more for the boy that stole her heart, only for him to break it with such a determination that it crushed her soul. Only, she kept going back for more, for she saw the light within the darkness between the two. And her heart wouldn't let go. Her heart wouldn't let go of what he saw in his mind; the end. He saw the most simple solution he could muster up in that doleful mind of his. And that was to give up.
She thought of all this while watching the raindrops race down the window, attempting to beat each other to the very bottom of the glass. She thought. And thought. And thought. That was all her mind allowed her to do. He consumed her every thought against her will. Yet, she didn't seek to end her ruminations. And she had not the slightest clue on why.
This is the story of "After." After him. After them. After the powerful force that was Him and Her. This was the era of "moving on." And she wasn't prepared in the slightest for it.
